I'm usually one of the first people to snark where the opportunity arises, but I think he was just being earnest, and he felt something cathartic, and felt like sharing. I hope all those bagging on him for it are just considering the deeper meaning obvious, because it's sad if they don't. There's nothing religious about it. As a bitter, jaded atheist, I still know what it feels like to become aware of the fact that you're taking things for granted, and realize how amazingly brilliant they are when you realize it's there, against all odds, and you're getting to experience it.

Yeah, he pretty much has the eloquence of a turdfarmer, which doesn't help his cause, but it sounded like he had one of those in-touch-with-yourself transcendent moments of higher awareness of his self and the present.

I really don't appreciate sampling good music and then pissing all over it. Advocating drug use, violence, and misogyny, to people who don't know how to do any of those three things properly, just to make a buck is not right.

I really wanted to bash what I expected to be a dumb, shallow video from an overrated, undertalented "artist".

I have to say it was a good reminder (to him and everyone) and good to see that he has the ability to peel away the layers and feel grateful for what most of us take for granted.
