This is (sorta) my position. I don't have a problem if somebody wants to do it but I'd be lying if I said that the transistion is convincing. Most look like your local plumber with a wig and a dress. However, I've seen some trannies that would surprise every single person here.

It's clear that the majority of males are very attached to their penises (pun intended). So look at this way...who on earth would want to go through the whole proccess to do that and all that it entails? It's the folks born with the wrong equipment that doesn't match their inside selves. This is not a "choice," rather than being free to be comfortable in their lives. No one would choose to experience the pain and ostrasism (however it's spelled) for making such a drastic decision. Good on her! Same for gays and lesbians in my opinion.
