Thank you! I used to stay up late and watch USA. I've seen this movie a lot of times. I was thinking about it at work just yesterday.

I'm sure the Pistols love this version of their song.

OK, many problems with this link ...

1) The song "Join the Professionals" was a song not by the Sex Pistols, but by The Professionals.

2) The Professionals included Steve Jones and Paul Cook of the Sex Pistols.

3) Smitty posted the shiatty version tacked on to the end of "Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains," where the girls have been co-opted into some lame GoGos knockoff, instead of the version where they "steal" the song earlier in the movie and perform it in front of a mall full of teenage girls wearing diaphanous tops.

4) Said video can be found HERE (new window).

5) Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains will see its first-ever release on American video in late September, thanks to the fine folks at Rhino.

That is all.

Holy shiat, Paul Simonon. He's a landscape architect now. How times change.

I'm clueless on this whole movie. I guess it was because British punk rock was irrelevant in the '80's...the ultimate Punk/Teenager movie was and always will be Rock and Roll High School with the Ramones and P.J. Soles.

THAT is all.

/still may rent this though...

i've never seen this movie and, in fact, thought it was some sort of a punk myth until i met someone who worked on it.
aren't there some half assed famous Vancouver punkers in that show?

This is exactly the kind of movie I liked in 1981, but I've never even heard of it.

Yup... I'm one of them.

But, as for half-assed Vancouver punkers you might have heard of... I don't think so. You're probably thinking of Terminal City Ricochet (new window).
