Rivers has really embraced that mustache.

I thought Maladroit and Make Believe were pretty weak. Pinkerton is my 2nd fav after the blue album.

CowboyNinjaD 2008-07-18 05:46:48 PM
I used to love Pinkerton. It was one of those CDs that I would just leave in my stereo and let run without skipping songs whenever I was driving.

It's one of the few albums, other than maybe a greatest hits album, that I've been able to enjoy from beginning to end.

That's the second "hootnanny" video I've seen and while the first was a lot more raw (a cover of Creep) they both looked like a shiatload of fun.

I like the Pinkerton album and all ... but, I'm sorry ... a room full of 20 somethings sitting indian style and doing sing alongs .... looked ... kinda .... sorta ... like ... teh ghey.

/Lemmy points at you and laughs.

Sorry for being shallow when we're discussing of the breadth, subtle complexity and existential depth that is El Scorcho.

I asked you to go to the Green Day concert, indeed. *stroking goatee*

I found this album listed as being number 3 on the Billboard Album charts this week.

If Subby is insinuating that sales equals Quality, he can eat bowl of dicks.

c'mon. even a Weezer fan so up Rivers Cuomo's rectum he can tell what he had for dinner will admit that his lyrics are not even close to epic. it's the wall of guitar sound

So awesome...after all these years they were able to round up every single fan left under one roof to help em play along...

You know what would REALLY prove your point? Get all of YOUR fans under one roof! You'll dwarf Weezer's numbers, then go home to your gold record collection and Harvard degree and feel smug.

i just found my old weezer (new window) t-shirt in the closet... so tempted to wear it now.

/not that anyone could think i was hip..

hmm...uh..."I know you are, but...what am I?"...yeah, thats the ticket! A band that was relevant in middle school is bested by a first-grade comeback.

I would get all of my fans together but I have to be at the gym in 26 min-...ah screw it. My parents wouldn't be able to make it anyways.

I have less fans than Weezer, so that makes me a failure at life?

Wow, someone's touchy. Maybe you should stay off the internet until you can handle someone poking fun at things you like.

Because everytime a submission goes green(album) on FARK that the Weezer True Believers find offensive the music publishing co. delays River's check by a week

Actually, I'm not even that much of a Weezer fan. I just happen to like Pinkerton. Also, I contend that people who use Worthington's Law to support the "Your favorite Band Sucks" argument are, in a sense, assholes.

Is unwarranted outrage not how the internet works? I thought I this thing down, but I'm still new.

old weezer=good
new weezer=bad
rivers=lame-o who thinks his dick is way larger than it actually is
video=pretty sweet
subby kind of pissed me off and i am not sure why

deevo 2008-07-19 01:42:35 AM
i was trying to sing this song on every difficulty of Rock Band tonight while I was drunk and I am still farked up.

This is the greatest thing I ever seen and missed out on, better than Sleater-Kinney's farewell tour.

urethra_franklin 2008-07-19 03:51:47 AM
Pinkerton was farkin awesome, and El Scorcho is a very bad ass tune. God I miss the old Weezer. Speaking of old Weezer, what ever happened to The Rentals?

Was that Jackson Browne singing?

i'm indifferent about weezer, but these collabs are pretty badass.

The Fark Knight 2008-07-19 04:35:48 PM
Subby, I wouldn't be so quick to say Pinkerton is their worst selling album. From what I understand, "El Scorcho" is selling well in Rock Band and artists have seen album sales increase when they agree to release a Rock Band song.

Personally, I was never interested in Pinkerton, but after buying "El Scorcho" for Rock Band I went out and bought the cd. It's good stuff.

nickxero 2008-07-19 06:12:13 PM
This is Weezer's best song, IMO.

Angryloner 2008-07-19 08:32:36 PM
pinkerton is my fave weezer album. followed closely by blue.(of course)

Duhktape 2008-07-20 03:42:45 AM
I don't understand why everyone is picking on Subby so much. At least compared to all their other albums initial sales, it is their worst selling. And considering that "El Scorcho" was the first, failed single from what was seen as a commercial failure at the time, I'd say the headline is rather accurate.

saddlecreek 2008-07-21 01:27:18 AM
