(Contact Music) Interesting Perry Farrell hints at another Jane's Addiction reunion, but to not worry if it sucks because he'll throw a big party to make up for it: "How bad could it be?"   (contactmusic.com) divider line 13

I've never been a fan of his voice, but I consider "Nothing's Shocking" one of the best albums start to finish. Not a bad song on it.
Although it pains me to say it, Dave Navarro's guitar playing on it is exceptional.

Perry can say a lot of things. The reason Jane's breaks up is because the rest of the band keeps getting tired of him.

This.... is why Eric Avery hasn't involved himself in Jane's Addiction for many years.

I saw Perry perform at moe.down last year and it was one hell of a performance. He stuck around the whole weekend occasionaly performing with the other bands too. He's a crazy motherlicker but a damn good performer.

I'll never understand why Lolla 2003 was considered a failure. Jane's, Audioslave, Incubus, QOTSA, and Jurassic 5. Maybe not the best tour ever, but a damn fine afternoon of music IMHO.

I'd love to see Janes again on a traveling festival with say Chris Cornell (Temple of the Dog reunion would be even better), Muse, and The Roots?

I HOPE HOPE HOPE this really does happen and they don't quit like 3 weeks after the tour starts. I was JUST starting to get into Jane's Addiction right before they broke up again in 2003 (I was late, I know) and this makes me SO excited, but I'm not giving my hopes up yet until they announce dates.

Old guy chiming in...
Best live show(s) I've ever seen (circa 1990).
Their performance of "Then She Did" is indelibly etched into my memory.
Nothing's Shocking and Ritual de lo Habitual are farking masterpieces.

/Probably don't have the same edge 18 years later

Strays wasn't great, but it wasn't the total catastrophe people make it out to be. There were a few solid tracks - the title track, "Hypersonic", "To Match the Sun". The live show was also still really great.

Standing In The Shower Thinking? I'm honestly not sure if I've ever listened to that song all the way through. Had a Dad is a little on the whiny side too, but not really that bad.

well, hopefully Eric rejoins the band. He seems to be the missing ingredient for the past few reunions. His solo album is pretty good as well.

One day last summer I woke up to hear a live band outside my apartment (not so unusual), playing Jane's Addiction songs, and I remember thinking "Wow, those guys sure sound like the real thing." Then I looked across the street and it actually was Perry Farrell playing in the parking lot of an organic grocery store. o_O

It kind of was. Terrible. I'm oft too lazy, too packratty to trade in CDs I don't listen to anymore (or at all) for new ones at the local record shop, but I made a special trip days after I bought Strays. It was stinking up my house.

Got rid of The Cure's Bloodflowers in that batch, too.
