shiat, its a problem that people don't usually know the staggering amount wounded and the effects of body armor on preventing death/ contributing to a, relative to armed conflicts of the 20th century, disproportionately high ratio of wounded over deaths. Now this is telling me that people don't even know the number for deaths? Thats just crazy.

This is a common miscontraception. Most people aren't geniuses or anything, but alot of them are real smart. I would guess that alot of them were probably flustered by some of the answers they were to choose from. Plus, no one knows who Henry Reid is.

I got the same one wrong...I don't own stock, remember that it dipped below 10k just the other day and I didn't realize it was back up over 11k. Oh well.

Most regular Farkers are more informed than the general public because we goof off at work making fun of (not) news.

I'd expect some sort of response bias on this poll, specifically for the reason that people interested in keeping up with the news would be more likely to take the test. This may end up translating to the actual averages for correct answers nationwide being lower.

The Dow Jones question should just be thrown out. I guessed 12k and turned out to be right. I also guessed 4000 in Iraq and was correct.
