I'd bet just about anything that in a few months to a year, Corgan and Love will be friends again. They've ALWAYS had this on-again, off-again friendship. They were friends in the early 1990's, and dated for awhile before they both got married to other people. (Courtney reportedly threw shoes at him in a jealous rage when she arrived at his house and found his girlfriend there.) Then, sometime after Cobain's death, they became friendly again (some say he was even cheating on his wife with her).

Around 1998, they had another falling-out when she accused him of being "sexist" when he claimed that she hadn't given him credit for his contributions to Hole's Celebrity Skin album.

Then, as TFA stated, he moved in with her in 2006 to help her on her solo album. Now, they're feuding again.

Maybe I'm biased because I've always been a massive Pumpkins fan and have never really liked Hole or anything Courtney's done -- but I'm inclined to take his side in all this. He may be a douche, but he always seemed like the one whose word I'd trust over hers.

I suggest that you read "Heavier Than Heaven" by Charles Cross. In it is described this bit of knowledge: according to the toxicology results resulting from his autopsy, Kurt Cobain had so much heroin in his system at the time of the shotgun being fired that he was well on his irreversible route to dying of an overdose. Simply put, he would have died that evening even if a shotgun had not been fired into his brainpan.
