Dusk-You-n-Me: Here's an interactive video. That is cool shiat.

No other band of late is as interesting to me. There is some decent music being made, but as performance artistry, Radiohead has taken the reins. They continually redefine what it is to be rock stars. I am considering current performers only for simplicity.
Bjork is intriguing, talented and beautiful. Her work is as well. The White Stripes are cool. Jens Lekman is a fine pop star. The Bonny Prince William is a meaningful writer and powerful performer. There are brilliant story tellers and performers such as Tom Waits and Richard Thompson. Astoundingly talented musicians like Leo Kottke are rare. You can of course list your favorites as well. But Yorke and Radiohead recreate themselves and their audience in a way that is different.
For the most part, you "discover" a band or performer. When you first hear a Shane McGowan project, for example, you may feel you've gotten "turned on" to his music. With Radiohead, there is no waiting audience to "turn on". It is more "turned into". By the power of their art, it seems, they create the audience itself with each release. You are turned into an audience rather than turned onto their art.
Arguably Waits has a similar effect, but he's not really (or trying to be) a "rock star". Beck is a rock star and perhaps fits this bill but he more references the past in a postmodern way.

Christ, I just reread this. I sound like such a dork. But there is something I'm trying to say here. Funny thing is; I don't even "like" Radiohead as much as some of the others I mentioned. I did however see them open for Belly at the Trocadero ( a smallish venue) in Philly. I am old. off my lawn with your rock & roll nonsense.

Five quintillionth?! C'mon, they are a million times that good. That makes them at least the five trillionth best band. Or is it brazillianth.

I thought they were British.

I didn't "read" all of this, or even any of it. But from what I gather, Ablejack has, at some point in his life, chowed down on Thom Yorke's jimmy johnson.

There's something haunting about a human face reduced to a digital replication like that. It's like the computer's saying, "Well, this is what I think of you."

Ignore list: Adding user Valdes ...

From what I gather, Valdes has, at some point in his life, been forced to chow down on Thom Yorke's jimmy johnson, secretly enjoying the salty, musky flavor of the head as it plowed steadily in and out of Valdes' shuddering mouth. Unf. Unf. Unf.

So out of curiosity (and don't forget this), how low-intensity do you have to go before these things are safe to shoot at someone's face? Or did Thom wear opaque contact lenses during the shoot?

I don't quite understand how Radiohead can continue to be so awesome for so long. This is a band that went from being a write-off one hit wonder into the most beloved alternative rock band on the planet.

wait, did that last comment make me seem like I hate Radiohead? because I don't. I adore them.
