The Post's examination of the case will unfold in a 12-chapter serial and epilogue in print and online.

Yeah, right...

I hope they catch the bastard, but I'm not that interested.

Y'know, at first I was about 50/50 on whether or not Condit did it or was at least involved in it, until they found the damn corpse.

Here's the thing: Condit is not a particularly stupid man. If he were going to kill someone (or have someone killed) in the park, a park where a serial killer was known to be prowling, wouldn't it be a good idea to do it in a manner consistent with the serial killer's MO and then ensure that the body was found QUICKLY (perhaps via an anonymous tip) to minimize any potential fallout?

The fact that it took ten months to find the damn body makes me pretty sure this was just a case of unfortunate happenstance mixed with typical political image smear. Condit may have been a giant, adulterous douchebag, but murderer doesn't really seem to fit the facts.

Does this mean all 12 chapters are going green? Or is it gonna be like the Charlie Brown Encyclopedia they used to sell at the grocery store back in the 70's? Everybody had the first book, 'cause it was $.99. But nobody ever had the complete set, 'cause the rest of the books were $3.99 each. If the remaining 11 chapters don't go green, nobody will read them, the way nobody read the rest of the Charlie Brown Encyclopedia.

I seem to recall Gary Condit being left off the hook by a bigger news story that engrossed the attention of the media before the news loop was complete. Now what was that?

911 Report? No. Au contraire.

Hmmmm... isn't it terrible how fast we forget these things?

Hell, maybe Condit's wife did her in.

This is a real question.

Meh. I was still in middle school back when this whole issue was still relevant and just remember that when they finally found Chandra Levy's body, my friends and I were watching a new episode of the Simpsons on fox. Right when the show was getting to a cliffhanger, they cut it off to get to a shiatty interview that some friend of a friend of a friend of the Levy's was giving to the press that took over 20 minutes. They never went back to the show in time and someone spoiled the ending of the episode for us the next day. So, fark Chandra Levy :P

/In retrospect, the episode ending was pretty lame episode so we didn't miss much.

Ha! I still have the complete set. I made my dad buy them for me from Jewel since I was the one that went grocery shopping with him. Learned alot from biology to culture with just enough bits of the Peanuts gang in it to keep me interested. Nowadays I believe the money went to purchase the hardcover than the actual content of the book since there weren't many pages.

Actually, they've discovered that CONDIT blew up the WTC that day, solely to divert attention from himself; the only planes the terrorists were on were the ones in Pennsylvania and at the Pentagon. Bin Laden was heard to say "Wait, what? I told them to stay away from New York!" when told about the Twin Towers.

Remember those bones they found in the sewers 18 months later? Well....

Probably because it's a total non-story. From Wikipedia:

"On July 20, 2001, one of Scarborough's aides died after hitting her head on a desk when she fainted while alone in Scarborough's Fort Walton Beach office.[11] According to Scarborough, soon after her death allegations "spread all over the Internet" that he had been involved even though there was no foul play.[12] In 2003, he joked about the incident with Don Imus on Imus's radio program[13] and in 2004 it was the subject of a public spat between Scarborough and filmmaker Michael Moore.[14] Moore accused Scarborough of wrongdoing, even though Scarborough was in his Washington, DC, office at the time of his aide's death."

/Why do so many Farkers take what a blatantly partisan blog says at face value?
//I think Gwendolyn was just trying to make a point that a loose connection to a death does not make a Congressman a murderer

Well congressmen have been so corrupt and screwed up for so long that you can pretty much assume they have a few dead bodies under the bed. The press goes for that angle. They could find a dead body that was in the same kindergarten class as a congressman and blame it on them, though they never had contact since reaching 1st grade.

"Recent reports conclude that Senator Soandso felt strong rivalry, as well as attraction, to the victim in the past."

I still think Condit paqid for this act, but tried to save money on the hitman.

a right wing blog told you they did it. A left wing blog told you they didn't. A moderate right wing blog told you they did it. A moderate left wing blog told you they didn't. A moderate right wing blog told you they didn't do it. A moderate left wing blog told you they did it. It's all out there, and none of it is information. Everyone just decides which side of the line they stood on before it began, and then select their favorite story and call it "fact that can't be ignored".
