Steely Dan says he can relate. Wet Willie says he doesn't understand all the hype. Lynyrd Skynyrd wonders if he can still be relevant. And Pink Floyd has refused to give his comment on the matter.

Led Zeppelin says he'll release a statement later, and Jethro Tull is on vacation but he'll be back on Monday.

(Headline's getting changed, good catch.)

So, though the tide is high, she's holding on? She's gonna be a number one?

so, the four #1 singles Blondie had between 1979 and 1981 don't count? How odd.

Correct me if Im wrong but was it Debbie Harry who wouldnt allow the original members of Blondie play with her at the HOF induction? Could have been another band but Im pretty sure it was Debbie Harry. Bush League.

Right on both counts--Frank Infante, Nigel Harrison, and Gary Valentine did not perform at the HOF awards, but were on stage to be inducted.

After reading that I remember feeling really bad for those guys. They just wanted to play their music. While I love their music, I really have come to hate Debbie Harry since then.

Her come back couldnt have anything thing to do with the fact her solo discs sucked wind. "Maria" was ok but the rest of that disc blew. Not that anything Madonna has done in the last decade or so is worth listening to either, but I sincerely doubt Madge really gave a baseball players ass about what Debbie was doing anyway.

Try again Debbie, your music hasnt been relevent since the early 80's.

Statistically,Debbie Harry was responsible for 60-70% of all my late 70s masturbation.

Quite a feat.

The very first "wet dream" I ever had involved a threesome with Debbie Harry and Lt. Uhura.

From what I hear the illness Chris Stein went through was of the variety that makes ones pray for the sweet release of death. Excruciatingly painful!

I hate to sound cruel and believe me I'll take Debbie Harry's music over Madonna's any day of the week, but I think the real reason why Madonna still tops the charts and Debbie Harry doesn't is because Madonna didn't let herself go. If Debbie Harry still looked now like she did then things would be very different. As sad as it is to admit when it comes to mainstream music success it's all about the looks.

I love Debbie Harry's voice.

She's also got 14 years on Madonna, it's harder to be hot at 63 than it is at 49.

Rip her to shreds Debbie.

Debbie Harry is still very pretty in the face, but last time I saw her she had really, really packed on the pounds.

Still a much more talented musician than Madonna.
