Wouldn't it be hilarious if Barack worked out, ate healthy and STILL died of Colon Cancer?

I mean, according to the libs in the Tony Snow thread, that's what you wish on political opponents right?

/Liberalism off

So, Hillary just admitted that instead of trying to fix her failing campaign, she spent her time beautifying herself?

Didnt even bother looking in on that thread (I can just imagine though).

Probably would never have come back if I had.

And then where would I be?

there you go, problem solved! obama supporters may again feel free to send ten ignorant friends and the guy/girl down the hall you're farking this week off to vote for this perfect nubian god.

/whatever happened to putting politicians into office that ACTUALLY SUPPORT AMERICAN INTERESTS? when did it become acceptable to openly bemoan our status as a global superpower? wouldn't a US president have to kinda, you know, "take sides", as barry laments the flag pin would imply?

I still disagree with what he did.

It grants retroactive immunity to telecommunications companies that may have violated the law by cooperating with the Bush Administration's program of warrantless wiretapping. This potentially weakens the deterrent effect of the law and removes an important tool for the American people to demand accountability for past abuses. That's why I support striking Title II from the bill, and will work with Chris Dodd, Jeff Bingaman and others in an effort to remove this provision in the Senate.

I dont know much about this shiat but common sense tells me he should have removed the provision and then approved the bill, not the other way around. Now we're all farked and he's trying to remove a part of something that was already approved. Someone please tell me if im missing something.

Oh, man...

Yeah, I don't like the call Obama made on FISA...but then I read a post like this, and my determination to vote against the interest of people like this douchebag is redoubled.

Thanks, cap'n, for reinvigorating my efforts to piss off people like you. I look forward to eight years of listening to your pathetic whining.

wow, didn't take you long to find an excuse, now did it? Obama is an unqualified fraud, and america is slowly realizing that. enjoy the summer, 'cause after november, you'll have to go to Illinois to see him. and that costs more to do now, thanks to your dem congress.

Wow, that's good. The republicans have nominated a "maverick" who has his head so far up Dubya's ass he can tell you what George had for breakfast, but based on the FISA vote, Obama is an "unqualified fraud."

Wow, you don't understand sarcasm, do you? Here's my REAL reason: I don't like his position on this issue, but I like his position on most others. Altogether, his "I like vs. I don't like" ratio is WAAAAY higher than McCain, or any 3rd Party candidate.

Obama is an unqualified fraud, and america is slowly realizing that.

So slowly that only you can see it.

It is the only thing they have left. They can't be proud of Uncle McCain so the next best thing is tear his opponent, classic GOP response.

You will be interested in who voted and how ^ on amendments as the bill became law.

Note that the Dodd amendment was a move to strike Title II from the bill, which was the immunity provision, in its entirety. The other amendments would have limited immunity as well.

I actually rather enjoyed looking up all this the other day - it is the sort of question where you want to examine the record yourself, not have anybody else portray it for you.

That's just dumb. Abolishing your support for a candidate on a single issue, while he still, overall, represents your beliefs and/or ideology is non-sensical.

Obama is a horrible choice for many reasons, and this is certainly one of them, but to gauge your support solely on this single issue would be dumb.

Yeah, because if 2000 and Bush taught people anything it's that "The lesser evil can be WAY lesser."

And Barrack still isn't evil IMO. He's not as good as he was, but he's still riding over the line. The kind of shiat the Republicans could pull with one more Supreme Court appointment is downright frightening.

Thank you for your concern, Cap'n, but I do not feel used in the least. I feel sorry that you have such a ridiculous view of an Obama supporter, but I do understand that there really are people that hold ridiculous views of how awesome Obama is. There are also people with equally ridiculous views of just how many such people actually exist. In their ridiculous view, everyone who supports Obama is some star-struck political neophyte who expects Obama to make everything perfect. This gross over generalization makes them just as idiotic as the few Obamaniacs who actually view Barack as some sort of Messiah.

YOU sir, are just such an idiot.

Obviously you don't understand American politics, during the primaries they pander to their base and as the GE comes along they move to the center to attract the independents.

I don't think he's changed his views. I still think he wants the ability for a gun ban. I think he's showing respect for the supreme court's decision. But either way, that's hardly a policy shift.
