If you're keeping score at home, here's the list so far (as far as I remember)

McCain = GWB, Teddy Roosevelt.
Obama = GWB, FDR, JFK, Jimmy Carter.

Am I missing any others?

Oh, and for GoRedSoxGo, here's a list for Obama: FiveThirtyEight.com

Sounds like another report from McCain's base, the media.

"I don't e-mail, I've never felt the particular need to e-mail," Mr. McCain said.

This proves McCain is old. He's quoting history most Americans don't know.

McCain is obviously Bob Dole part 2, a comparison that has been made a lot.

Obama has been called John Kerry and McGovern by the right and RFK and Lincoln by the left.

Although its funny because McCain is actually the exact opposite of the Teddy maxim. He talks big but carries a limp noodle.

His entire senate career is talking the talk but failling to walk the walk. Look at his decade long "war on pork." What has he accomplished? Nada. He rants about it and pretends to fight it, but he doesn't actually DO anything.

right, low-bridging your base on a promise you made in order to get the nomination. a small policy shift indeed.

Which is sad considering it's history most Americans should know.

I think his stance on Gay Adotion could hurt him with many people; at least it bothered me. I would like to retain the *term* Marriage for a Man and a Woman, but for purly reasons of holding on to a *tradition*. I would like to see Homosexual couples share the same legal rights, however, and think that any *two parent* household is preferable to one; be it homosexual or heterosexual.

Otherwise I thought the article was a positive for him. (Who cares if he never e-mails, he's right, there really is no *need* for him to, that's what aides are for :P )

I am not so sure of that. Computers and the internet are such an important part of our lives and our commerce now. I think it would at the very least be beneficial if he grasped the basic mechanics.

Meh, it sounded like he had a grasp on the basics just hasn't felt a need to inundate himself with it. Sure he's older and therefore prefers to read a newspaper over a blog; but I don't doubt for a second he's running around unaware of what's being said and how it's evolving. That's what his aids and advisors are for.

Especially since he gave nothing resembling a valid reason. "Both parents" are apparently only important if they have differing sex organs.

With all the travesties called "marriage" through the centuries, what tradition are you referring to? What about those who marry merely for national identity or legal status? Those are okay, but two people who really love each other, too bad for them, huh?

I'm not saying that due to many Societal ills, Marriage isn't a joke of what it once was; it is. I'm also admitting I have no other reason than emotional. I just think *husband and wife* and *Marriage* should be between man and a woman. Not trying to deny rights to anyone not trying to say homosexuals are incapable of love; just saying as a Heterosexual, leave me something why bother with syntax.

You obviously read too much into my position.

you think that things done in the name of marriage undermine it. but god forbid I suggested islam is violent, you'd probably whine like nancy kerrigan.

See Zimbabwe for what happens when all you do is speak softly.

Or Sudan, or Burma, or Rwanda, or Cambodia, or East Timor, or Ethiopia...you get the picture. Speak softly doesn't work without the big stick - and vice versa. This is lost both on George W. Bush and his loudest critics.

This!

SPEAK softly and carry a big stick, not walk. Is it a joke or does Subby not know his Teddy quotes?

I'm voting for Obama because I support abortions for gay married babies and stopping the War on Camaro IROCs. I think we need to focus on combating the detergents in Afghan stains, and McCain wears diapers so he couldn't possible mustard the relish.

Comparing John McCain to Theodore Chipmunk is like calling the color yellow red. Try telling a cop that yellow is red and see what I mean. It just doesn't cotton.

Are you listening to me?
