Someone's fencing fences? Let's round up the usual suspect.

You're talking about zombies aren't ya?

'cause if you're talking about putting zombies around it, I might be able to help ya out there.

//You *ARE* talking about zombies, right?

Tiberium Sun's Lazer fences wouldn't get stolen so easily. Should have put those in.

Or perhaps some kind of shielding, a la Star (Trek)(Wars)(anything else in the genre)?

why do they build fences around graveyards anyway? It's not like they're going anywhere.

They took the fence away to make it easy for the excavators to get in there tomorrow night...

...or was it to make it easy for the zombies to get out?

tehotherbilly 2008-07-13 08:18:31 AM
I think the fences are to keep out corpse humpers.

mkiii 2008-07-13 08:20:16 AM
it was chain used as a fence. that's much simplier to steal. you'd have to cut up a fence into managable sizes or if it is in sections still pull or cut it from the ground. but with chain i'd just pull the pickup next to it and start feeding it into the bed.

no i didn't steal it.

gothelder 2008-07-13 08:32:02 AM
thisispete:A moat with sharks in it?

I expect they would just steal the sharks, but if you can find a way to steal a moat that would be impressive....

\the more I steal, the bigger it gets.

Came here to make this joke. Will make the following ones instead.

Do you know why everybody isn't buried in this cemetery? They aren't all dead yet.

If you knock on the gate of a cemetery and ask what the dead people are doing they will say nothing.

And you'll keep on believing that until that zombie sneaks from around the corner and chomps your arm. Don't be fooled, they're just waiting.

To keep cannibals and necrophiliacs out.

Nothing bad would happen if you did that, would it?

The only reason they put fences around cemetaries in the first place is because people are dying to get in.

Just put up insulators and a strand of electric fence. Preferably cow fencer. They won't steal it anymore.

That's only when the H isn't pronounced. "An Hour", "A Hospital"

Do you actually pronounce it "'istoric"? That's ilarious.

I suggest you look up usage of "an" before words starting with "h" before getting all pedantic. Your rules are appropriate for a couple of centuries ago or for words where the H is not pronounced like "honour", but when you pronounce the H, leave out the N.

Wulfhardt 2008-07-13 01:35:50 PM
Syewper-high-powered IR spotlights on a motion tracker. The thieves won't even see the light, but it will blind them nonetheless. After a couple seconds of staring directly into a 500,000,000 candlepower IR beam, they'll be more worried about how to leave than how to steal chain.

This kind of security can also do wonders for the braille publishing business.

ThePuceGuardian 2008-07-13 02:03:10 PM
Just who are the thieves going to sell all that to? What sort of person buys up stolen property?
And what if he is insulted by their proposals? What if the fence fence takes offence?

I'm so very very sorry.

I would like to inquire as to what that is, or what movie it is from. I'm afraid to google image search "ball with prongs".

/to venture a guess, is it from Ultra Violet?

I don't know about you, but that is how I learned it throughout my schooling (graduated HS in 1991, which wasn't that long ago - ok, maybe it was - get off my lawn!).

Then again, what does it matter: Continue to speak your pidgin english, I don't really give a damn.

that would be one of the sentinels from the Phantasm movies. Great, yet crappy, cult classics.

The dropped 'h' is from outdated British English, and now the dropping of the 'h' there is seen as a sign of the uneducated. The British have moved on, but oddly enough the Americans have kept with the old ways. But who knows, I could be mistaken. Maybe I missed an homework assignment somewhere.

I remember a Charles Addams cartoon. Late at night, an empty bus was passing a cemetary. Andthe 'stop requested' buzzer went off.

The fence is obviously to stop people who want to stop in for a stiff one
