Is it bad that when I hear 'Two of Us', I start looking for Sean Penn and Dakota Fanning?

Saw Yoko in the background....Did you know that John Lennon actually gave her her name? Yep....saw her naked and said "Yoko...Oh No!"

I love the shot of Yoko, quietly surveying the scene like a lion sizing up a gazelle.

I always liked that song better at the faster tempo. Too bad they didn't record a serious full take like that before changing the arrangement.

The playback speed sounds a little fast, though. Or maybe it was a little slow in the movie.

Yoko just looks like the kind of person who sucks all the joy out of a room.

they were the most successful band in the world at the time and they couldn't afford another microphone?

When I hear that song, I imagine John and Paul as kids running around Liverpool, setting things on fire.

Isn't it good Norwegian wood

Yoko is lurking, very trollish and creepy. These guys were basically done with each other by 30. Imagine the output if they'd had even another 5 years together?

The shot of Yoko lurking behind some equipment at 0:37 is just creepy: She looks like she's pointing a weapon at Lennon/McCartney, or maybe just causing the Beatles to break up by sheer force of will.

/it's a cliche because it's true.

I thought she looked more like a weathered gargoyle squatting on a dank and filthy cathedral rooftop.

Sound isolation wasn't the name of the game in those days. Also consider that they probably weren't working with an umpteen-track recorder.

This was during the rehearsals at Twickenham Film Studios (not a proper recording studio) for a proposed live concert of new material that never came off (except for the Apple Corps rooftop performance on Jan 30, 1969). So they set up like they would for a live concert.

Love her or hate her, Yoko was a symptom of John's withdrawal from the group, not a cause. If he had never met Yoko (and started shooting heroin with her), he likely would have spiraled into an even deeper depression without all the great songs Yoko inspired like "Happiness is a Warm Gun", "I Want You (She's So Heavy", "Don't Let Me Down", "Jealous Guy", etc.
