I should probably clarify my "cut their heads off with a shovel" comment.

I mean, use a knife if you can, but when I was younger a mouse got snagged on a glue trap meant for roaches. My uncle used a flat metal shovel to quickly cut its head off, rather then let it starve to death. That's why I said "use a shovel".

When I was very little, my granddad raised chickens for eggs. Eventually, the chickens stopped being so productive, and he got a bit older. He decided to stop selling eggs. So what did he do? He took me out back, grabbed each chicken and chopped it's head off. It's what ya do to birds you don't want any more. We buried them in a small hole, and that was that.
