(Contact Music) Amusing Ringo Starr found a healthy way to write songs: On a treadmill, which is indeed much better than the old days of being so high he needed to be pulled from the ceiling with a rake, mumbling incoherently about yellow tambourines   (contactmusic.com) divider line 34

They had to change it, since there's not much room for all of them to live in a yellow tambourine.

He's as relevant as ever. George Bush is in office, there's a war in Iraq, and American Gladiators and COPS are on the TV.

I love that guy, the prank callers are the best. He seems really let down when the callers lead him on for a while..Like he didn't see it coming.

People not listening to a comedian who told 3 jokes an hour? That would be horrible.

Funny thing about you is the Hicks fans already know how to bury you.
Hating on Hicks gets you nowhere.

he needed to be pulled from the ceiling with a rake

Actually, he was tired of waking up on the floor.

Ringo Starr always seemed like the kind of guy who would snort a line of coke off of my sister's penis. It's an "Octopus' Garden" thing, if you know what I mean.

What's this about Ringo writing songs?

I know, I know..."Don't Pass Me By", etc...

KrunkSplein [TotalFark] 2008-07-08 11:10:24 AM
When I saw the new Transformers movie I kept thinking to myself, "it's a shame Bill isn't alive to see this."

They managed to get better special effects than Terminator 2 WITHOUT using terminally ill people as stuntmen!

I think Ringo would be cool to have over the house...just seems pretty down to earth in general

I thought the phrase he used was "orange tangerines".

I still contend the Georgia Satellites' version of "Don't Pass Me By" is the greatest Beatles cover ever. That song just smokes.

Barbara Bach was in Playboy, then he married her.
On a side note, this whole effen state is still on fire, so I bought a "personal oxygen bar" from Hammacher Schlemmer. I'm floating on O2, lungs cleared out. Worth the $300........ and when we put the fires out, it could be the worlds most expensive bong........
