More bad news: Jimi was playing accordion on this album.

/he was playing a right-handed accordion upside-down

Did he set it on fire? That might be cool.

I heard he played a left-handed harmonica on it

These are the lost recordings featuring Eddie Wilson, right?

That's not so bad - Steven Stills has the best voice in CSN

The release of this will be squashed by Hendrix's estate.

stephen stills was an uneven composer...if i remember correctly two of his solo albems "stephen stills" were pretty good (it had clapton *and* hendrix on it) and his band manasses was good ...the rest, not so much. here's hoping stills/hendrix is interesting at least.

the weirdest thing about that, is as trashed as morrison is-jimi is actually sounding straight and playing good if i remember correctly.

LOL! Graham Nash..."I'm going to listen to everything in case he recorded with Al Jolson".

From what I've heard, those are just jams. It's not an "album".

CSN engineer Stephen Barncard said that Jimi did a solo on Love The One You're With that had to be heard to be believed. Unfortunately, Stills erased it, and put steel drums on the track instead.

For the REAL story on Stephen Stills, read here:

I wrote that. What's funny is that most of it is true. Stills did go to military school, Young did steal his band's equipment to go to L.A., Buffalo Springfield did screw the Whiskey a Go Go house band out of their gig, and they did bring hookers on tour with them.

As farkers can attest, truth is stranger than fiction.

Taking 30 years to sober up isn't so bad considering he's been dead for most of that time.

Stills does have one cut featuring Hendrix, released on the 1970 self-titled album, called "Old Times Good Times" that's pretty damn nice. The story in the box notes says that he and Hendrix used to hang out at Stills' house and just jam for days... someone called the cops with a noise complaint, and when the officer found out who it was, he just shrugged off the complaint, parked his cruiser in the driveway and fielded radio calls from there.
I'd be really interested to hear this album... they're both amazing guitarists.

That's the one. It's been on dozens of bootlegs. Morrison is so wasted is just becomes "fuhh huh in thu uss..."

Not the Lizard King's finest hour by a long shot.

theres no way thats hendrix on that track, at least not doing the main lead track. not that you can really tell anyway from that mess.

His cover of Donovon's "Season of the Witch" is awesome.

Hendrix was on Stills' first solo album. And they jam with John Sebastian and Buddy Miles on Timothy Leary's "Live and Let Live" (Hendrix on bass!) from the album You Can Be Anyone This Time Around.
