Him and what's her face... the so called 'supermodel' who throws phones at staff and curses out airline staff and police officers. Actually, Naomi needs to be put down before she does something else...

A lot of important hip-hop and rap album have been fueled by serious grievances and anger. For Kanye to be one of the most aggressive and "at the front" MC's, he needs some anger. I think it fits.

As far as his ego, it is over-inflated and arrogant, but it's kind of what's, you know - good about combative music?

Oh well.

I vote he goes to an "I Take Myself Too Seriously" class. Tom Cruise can also visit that one, along with Oprah. Imagine if those three could laugh off jokes and comments made about them? What a wonderful world it would be.

/Much less litigious, anyway.

Who was actually a promising artist when he emerged is sadly turning into nothing but a self-indulgent jack ass...

There is no savior for hip-hop so it seems...

/unless you count Soulja Boy

I can't wait till the light-saber wielding IT people start posting "Kanye West is a talentless hack!!! Neer neer neer!!" Hopefully these classes give Kanye a bit of humility to go with his considerable talent at production.

Yeah, I can name about about a hundred other hip-hop artists who are much better than Kanye, but don't have the same mass appeal.

That's the idea I was really trying to say.

Perhaps I should change that to:

"There is no savior for MAIN STREAM hip-hop it seems..."

I don't really care either way, but it would be nice to see some intelligence on the air waves compared to "Shake that ass girl, shake that ass"

I still hate what Busta Rhymes turned into.

Kanye doesn't care about white people.

Kanye doesn't care about whiteblack people, either.

There, needed to be said.

the fact that he doesn't live up to the hype and he treats any slight criticism as personal affront? ("oh noes, a B+ review from ET mag! ANGRY REBUTTAL IN ALL CAPS!") Sorry, he's only at the level he's at because he's better than the rest of his competition. But come on, his competition is Soulja Boy...

kanye is a self-absorbed hack that thinks the world revolves around his music.

he reminds me of herpes: They're a real pain in the ass, then right when you think they're gone, they come back just to annoy you.

I know absolutely nothing about Kanye's music, but his hissy fits crack. me. up. I'd be sad if he started acting like a grown up or something.

The problem is that Kanye never has been, nor ever will be, a good MC.

Screw that. He's a little pussy that needs a good beating.

Yeah, but it helps if the anger is matched with good rapping skills and Kanye ain't got the skills. He's a good producer and I heard he puts on a good show but whenever I hear him rap I just cringe.

I don't think I've ever heard a non-douche use the term "douchnozzle". In fact, it pains me to even use that word. Most guys people on these interwebs call "douches" are just celebrities with opinions that we're all jealous of.

take existing song that was famous 5-10 years ago + talk over it in a rythm + profit + whine and stomp feet when denied awards = kanye
