Is the Gizmodo site infected, or running some type of Flash that can crash your computer? The two Gizmodo links ago, I clicked on it, and my computer rebooted.

Well, the ladies would certainly appreciate that seat when it's on the full spin cycle.

I hate laundry mats with a passion. They're so freaking expensive and the washers are so freaking small and the dryers take two or more cycles before they've actually dried your clothes. Plus it eats up your whole day since you can't just throw a load in and go off and do something else because you have to stay there and guard your laundry the whole time. They're also always insanely hot and humid.

Thank god for stackable apartment-sized laundry machines. They may only wash a bit at a time but they're cheaper and more convenient than using the laundry mat. In the winter instead of venting the dryer out the window you can use it as a humidifier too.

No no no. Give them this and next they'll be asking for an oven they can nap on or an ironing board that reads them romance novels.

Slipper slope!

Subby are you referencing Good Eats?

If so props my good person. That was an excellent use of Alton Brown there.

One of my primary complaints with the Giz is that they have a lot of "concept" content.

Now some concept stuff is fine and dandy, but it seems to me as if they just use it for filler.

1980's Reeces Peanut Butter Cup ad:

"You got peanut butter on my chocolate!"

"No, you got chocolate in my peanut butter!"

Is this a type of mat you put your laundry on? What is a "laundry mat"? Anyways, here in Canada, we have these places called laundromats where you can drop off your clothes and pay someone to clean and fold them and you can pick them up later. Which part of the world do you live in? A weird place with mats to put your laundry on??

momule 2008-07-06 12:27:23 PM
What the hell? I already use my laundry room as a bar. Have an second fridge in there for the beer and when I do the wash I always sit on that hot chugging thing while I'm chuggin a cool one. Pluse I love to see the clothes go up and down.....theres a Zen quality to the combination of a good Sam Adams beer and the machine working its heart out.

/laundrymats are for trailer parkers
//Sam Adams Wheat Ale and a Whirlpool.....ahhhh thats the ticket

Also used during a couple of Good Eats shows as well, mainly thinking of "Salad Daze"

So you're saying Alton Brown gets his material from 80's candy commercials?

Odinsward [TotalFark] 2008-07-06 01:48:57 PM
No it was the only reference that I could remember. If he used the Reese's commmerical then I did not know it.

/born 1978.. don't remember much from 1980.
