I saw Mama Mia (the musical) when it first came out. I was full of self loathing for enjoying it. It was just fabulous!

As much as I'd enjoy seeing them live (I'm not ashamed of that) I'm fine with the decision. While the line "Hope I die before I get old" is a bit trite, "Hope I have the common sense to get my creakin' ass off stage before I embarrass myself" is pretty solid.

I love ABBA. I know they get a lot of flak for being sort of a sugary sweet pop act, but there's a lot of great singing and musicianship happening on ABBA records.

I saw them around 1979 or 1980 in Omaha of all places. Very entertaining. Good pop is good pop no matter how old.

And Pierce Brosnan, who was great as James Bond (never to top Sean Connery), sounds like an Irish walrus. I'm probably one of the few closet ABBA freaks that wishes they got back together because they seem to be the only ones singing it RIGHT.
