They all had J's in their name, too, as did Lennon, Jerry Garica, John Belushi.

I did a radio show that featured 18 songs by bands with a member that died at 27. There are a lot of them (but not Brad Nowell).

People's want & willingness to shoe-horn Cobain in there always rubbed me the wrong way (not literally, mind you). It just seemed so arbitrary that other big names passed away at that age and really weren't included in the inner circle, but then 23 years later it was decided that Cobain warranted inclusion.

IMHO, Robert Johnson, "Pigpen" and D.Boon all deserved inclusion as much as (if not more than) Cobain.

I visited Jim Morrison's grave in Paris recently, and believe me, he's huge in France. They say it is the third most visited site in France after the Louvre, Eiffel Tower. But crappy Doors fans have written so much graffiti on other people's graves that it's guarded by a security guard now. RIP Jim.
