(CNN) Amusing It's been a rough week for the Colorado Springs Police Department. What with the lightning strikes, a few motorcycle crashes, and Jeb Obama's motorcade. Wait... who the hell is Jeb Obama?   (politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com) divider line 20

Has CNN's copyeditor been hitting the sauce again? You decide

They're just trying to tie him closer to Bush again.

Maybe he changed his name to something more amenable to middle America.

Must be Barack's dim-witted brother...Every politician seems to have a brother who's a complete embarrassment. Bill had Roger, Jimmy had Billy, Jack had Ted...and Jeb has George - or is it the other way around?

Come to think of it, I have never seen the two of them in the same room at the same time . . .

Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Did this get fixed before it hit the front page? CNN has TFers?

Obviously someone let the alternate universe Obama out of Cheyenne mountain.

One of the sidebars has a story about Jeb Bush, so they're probably doing mix-and-match.

No. If they did, their coverage would be better.

BizzarrObama?

An old white guy with a military record, zero grasp of economic issues, wanting to continue failed policies, and saying "The same shiat we shouldn't believe in"?

Sounds like he's been out for a while now.

Jeb Obama, he'll get the southern vote with a name like Jeb.

"It turns out he's OK," Mr. Obama said at a fundraiser Wednesday night. "I called him and he said it's all part of the job. He's doing all right."

When I first read that I saw "Cheney Mountain" and thought to myself, "Wow, he's really taking that supervillain motif to the max! He's even making evil Obama clones in his secret mountain stronghold!"

As someone who lives in middle America, allow me to assure you that there is a distinct shortage of Zekes, Jebs or Cletii here. You are thinking about the south.

I do like that Obama called him. I think that is classy.

I don't think I ever knew a Jed, Jeb, or Zeke. Evar. I did know one guy whose name really was Cletus, although everyone assumed it was a nickname. He was a systems analyst. On the other hand, sadly, I do know several people with Bubba on their birth certificates. Also, a selection of people named "Coy" or "Toy", and several with no real first names at all. They had initials for a name. I don't understand that one - but it's common enough that I have to believe there's some reason why you name your kid "R.T." or whatever.
