JUST SHUT UP ABOUT THE STUPID DAMNED FIST BUMP ALREADY!

McStinky 2008-07-02 03:45:43 PM
I'm so relieved. I thought for a moment there that something substantive had happened. Then I realized it was just CNN.

I like knowing all of these unnecessary tidbits about my candidates.

it amazes me that they made this a story beyond the old people's initial questioning of 'what did that mean?'

i understand it as a one off, a story illustrating a generational shift manifesting itself. but dragging this nonsense on reminds me why i hate mainstream media.

We will never have an honest candidate again, thanks to 24-hour cable news. When there is nothing to report, they make shiat up. They will feast on any single word that can be misconstrued. They will scream to the heavens about bullshiat. And when they are proven wrong, they will slip the retraction deep in their website, and scream about the latest madeup bullshiat or scandal, and never bring up the mistake again. And the mouth breathing masses will never know it was a mistake because they don't take the time to look for it.

Would you shut up? The 24/7s are busy trying to convince Democrats that they should hate Obama for his FISA stance.

I heard he was too left for the right and too right for the left making him actually stand outside of the spectrum altogether, which is what one would expect from a jihadi manchurian candidate who hates America.

I guess this is what happens when you have 24 hour media outlets in a world where interesting news just doesn't happen 24 hours a day.

Well, at least not if you confine yourself only to what happens inside the US of A.

Things like the whole "fist bump" story are exactly why I don't even try and get news from 24/7 news outlets any more. They have way more bandwidth than content and as a result they have to scrape every barrel they come to for everything they can.

It really makes me sad to think how many of my fellow Americans are counting on these outlets for 100% of the information they get about the world.

It's going to be a pretty weird game. You spend most of it wacking two Wiimotes together and then pointing at random spots on the screen with one or both of them, and then you spend the rest of the game demanding money, respect and cheesecake.

But I still think it's gonna sell better than GTA 4.

Cyborg77 2008-07-02 06:23:20 PM
Ted Turner and Rupert Murdoch should both be strapped in to chairs with their eyelids propped open and forced to watch their own cable news channels 24 hours a day for a week.

Rovian 2008-07-02 06:24:09 PM
It is like CNN has junior high interns writing their web pages. Is there really nothing more important going on, anywhere?

There should be a mini-game where you run a race and then claim the other mii's record time as your own.

I had a dream last night where everywhere I went, people were blaming Barack Obama for everything. I was outside a grocery store and a big Buick is parked half on the sidewalk, half on the landscaping. "That's Obama's car, he doesn't care where he parks," someone else says. In the store, there was a cart in the middle of the entrance. "Obama left that there while he went to go find ice cream," said some old lady. I went down another aisle and there was a bunch of broken eggs on the ground. "Barack Obama threw those on the ground and laughed," said a store employee. By the milk there was some guy crying because Obama punched him in the stomach for no reason. In the distance, I see Barack Obama squishing loaves of bread and putting them back on the shelf.

I'm dead honest. It was one of the funniest dreams I've had in a long time. Almost as good as the one where I pushed a former boss inside bread oven.

Am I all alone in the fact that my dreams tend to have little narrative structure at all?

Vast poor journalistic standards conspiracy. CNN needs to develop some self esteem and realize that even though Fox passed it in ratings, it still can retain a sense of purpose.

Right now, CNN is like the fat cheerleader who is hated by all the skinny blonde ones.
