Dear Willie Dixon,
Thank you for Led Zeppelin. I could have done without Poison. You always have to go too far.
Sincerely,
Howie

I read that as "Willie Nelson" at first, and before re-reading the age, I was like, "NOOOOOOOO!!!!! I'VE GOT TICKETS TO HIS PICNIC ON FRIDAY!"

Seeing Willie Nelson play live before he dies is one of my goals in life. As of Friday, that goal will be accomplished.

I had the distinct joy of getting to see Willie Dixon play at the Beloit Blues Festival back in 1970 (or possibly it was 72, two concerts, too long ago). He was just full of joy when he was playing the upright bass.

I can't think of a more prolific songwriter in the blues genre.

Well, I'm off to Itunes to download this man's entire catalog. Never heard that one before. Totally awesome.

Thanks subby! That's a good 'un. Never saw him, but I saw John Lee Hooker, pre-commercial/duets BS stuff.

because no one ever listens to records anymore. It's not like we don't have a story every month about records making a comeback and being on the verge of killing mp3. Wait all that stuff I said did happen, you are a fagtard.

Truly the best kind of music made. Not many like him today. Maybe Elvis Costello.

When Willie was writing songs for both Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf, each would claim that he was giving the best songs to the other. To remedy the situation, Willie used reverse psychology on them. While unveiling a song he'd written for Muddy, he'd say it was for the Wolf. Muddy would scream like a stuck pig that it should be HIS song. And, so it was.
