Yeah, cause real musicians just stop when they want, cause they're not driven to write something better each time and share it with people.

Stupid twit.

Yeah, what a stupid twit. She can't do what she wants.

I meant that it indicates that she was never interested in music for music's sake.

I have spent a long time in various parts of the industry (kick, replies etc.) and I've seen her type more than a few times. In it for the money and (not always but likely) fame... *not* because they wanted to make great music and continue doing great music.

Almost all the greats kept making music way past the rich point. Exceptions are those who lost their minds, those who are simply *too* old, and those who for, whatever reason, just ran dry.

I doubt very much that she ran dry, as it's not like she was saying anything to begin with.

/And before you really go to town on me, I happen to know a few names of those who keep going simply because they can't stand the idea of not being as famous as they were
//Cough - Bon Jo-cough cough-vi, oh sorry, frog in my throat.)

Also, she's getting fat.

Quitting the industry doesn't mean she's going to stop playing or writing. It just means the public and record label douchebags aren't going to hear it.

Also, artists barely see much of the city they're in when they tour, since they're usually only there for a day (maybe 2), which includes showtime, press, soundcheck, meals, and sleeping. Not really a lot of room in there to really explore a city.

Good for her. She's been in the business since at least her late teens. I hope she makes it out alive.

Even when she was the new hot thing and people were raving about her I just didn't get it. I found her so bland.

She has my blessing to go ahead and retire right now. I won't miss her, I promise.

Wait, isn't that what pop stars already do?

All they see is the tour bus and the stage.

She can do what she wants, BUT... I hope she changes her mind. She's a talented musician, and on top of that, she's damn fine.
