If by "smart people getting an education" you mean "average people learning to work more efficiently and going to parties", then yes.

I wonder where all this electricity is going to come from?

I've known some educated people who were pretty stupid, and vice versa. Having a piece of paper doesn't make one smart, just less lazy.

The Pacific northwest, obviously. Maybe if you had boobies you would know that.

Heat from a burning forest.

That's kinda funny since we stopped the LNG terminal that CA didn't want to have in their state. Our dams are tapped out, we're making electricity with natural gas. Without a fancy new LNG terminal, CA in hosed. And if they uppity about it, will just turn off the lights.

However will those retards who know how to perform a marketable and complex skill live with themselves if they don't know who is Kierkegaard?

Yes, because clearly it's the word "Hummer" that's the REAL problem. Just those letters, in that order, magically creates a vortex of Evil.

Sure they will. There will always be job openings in the Food Service and Construction industries. The bad thing is that then they'll go on to vote for people like George Bush, get us involved in illegal, moronic wars, build Creation Museums, watch NASCAR, and generally behave like... well, retards. Personally, I think it's time that America stopped pandering to the lowest common denominator. We've seen what happens when you let idiots run the place. Maybe it's time we let the smart people have a say, and see how that works out for us.

Ahhh...I see your problem. You confused republican with retard. Luckily we have San Francisco as a shining beacon of how the left-wing can be retarded. I know, I've argued with my share of creationists and 9-11 truthers to know they're both retards.

Luckily we have the rest of the country as a shining beacon to show that Republicans are retarded, along with so many Democrats.

Luckily? More like Shiat Out of Luck. Both parties screw over the country and only idiots fall for the partisan division. It's how they keep us distracted. Well, at least most of the US.

A marketable skill like being able to write a proper sentence?

Stoker: Alternative methods of using energy is long over due. I'm all for Hydrogen.

Why? Hydrogen isn't an energy production method. It's a storage medium. It still needs a force to put energy into it. Mainly because there's little free hydrogen on Earth and most of it is tied to other elements.

Also this isn't a crisis of supply. This is a crisis of cost. Mandating we switch to another costly method won't reduce cost but will create a crisis of supply.

It's good enough for Fark. So I dropped a comma or two. Who cares?

There has been great advancements to producing Hydrogen from not only the obvious source of water, but also from algae based producers. The algae base is the most productive for the least amount of input. That is why. And it's not just a crisis of cost, but a crisis of dependency, greenhouse gasses and control over the public. Farming algae could be the new crop of America.

But then, I am also for hemp farming too. And there is a lot of reasons why that is more useful than it's competitive products.

I hate high gas/heating/food prices as much as anyone, but on the other hand, I know that decreased supply is the ONLY thing that will force us to break our addiction to that black ooze.

Torn, indeed.

Are we sure we couldnt elect this man as VP? Maybe give him a 1 time pass? Cause whichever party was able to throw him as thier running mate would win. I cant believe liberals in California dont like this guy.

Dear Jerk 2008-06-29 02:24:00 PM
When Reagan said 'Trees cause pollution' everybody laughed at the lovable old guy, but that's the moment the Republicans became downright anti-environment. At least when the environment goes up against quarterly profits. Which is most of the time. Anyway, I've gone from despising Ahnold to admiring him. He's gone from ideologue to pragmatist.

Marie Antoinette wasn't being a smart ass when she suggested this. There was a shortage of other food stuff so eating flour based products made sense. She just had a bit of a tin ear in how she conveyed the message. She and Arnold and the rest of the silver spooners don't understand why we just can't go buy a Tesla and be done with it. Or have the Chauffer fill up the car. I mean really.

When do we get to set up the guillotines?

I believe the way I phrased is also acceptable.

I don't like ending a sentence with "is".
