This one seems comparatively tame. He usually likes to bundle his violations:

In March 2000, [DMX] was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, failure to signal, driving without a license, failure to notify the DMV of an address change, and possession of marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy, and Percocet...

In June 2004, he was arrested at JFK Airport on charges of cocaine possession, criminal impersonation, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal mischief, menacing, and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol while claiming to be a federal agent and attempting to carjack a vehicle.

To be fair, he was arrested 6 weeks ago and drug and weapons charges too. So he hasn't had enough time to bundle yet.

When asked for comment DMX was quoted as saying "Ruff, ARF, Ruff, ARF, ARF, ARF, BARK, that is all"

//he also thanked kibbles and bits for their sponsorship

DMX, Snoop Dog, PacMan Jones, OJ, Ray Lewis.... the list goes on and on

I mean all these innocent Black professionals have to deal with being framed by jealous white men. Its enough to make a partially black man like me very very angry.

DAMMIT!!!!

You'd think the way blacks always claim that they're unfairly targeted, they'd be smart enough to avoid the liability that comes along with buying and possessing illegal drugs. But you'd be wrong.

He approached an undercover Miami-Dade Police narcotics detective and requested to purchase "30 Powder & 15 Weed" -- street slang for cocaine and marijuana. X handed over $45 -- and was arrested.

Unless he is one of the many rappers who got screwed by their label(s), he should have a net worth in low 7 figures. He should have not been out on the street buying. He is a B-list celebrity. He is known to have an entourage and this is what those people are for. A-list and B-list celebs should not be going out and buying their own. Either a dealer should come to them out of respect or an assistant or member of the entourage should go and fetch it. The public is out to get A-list and B-list celebs, so it's not wise for them to put themselves in such positions.

You really don't think minorities are unfairly targeted by the police? I'm a brown male, and I can attest to the fact that if a cop sees you just walking down the street the chances are high you will be harassed. The most I'll have on me is a bit of bud, but the majority of the time I'm not doing anything wrong. Random searches are unfair no matter what you say. You will never know what it's like to live in fear of the police, but it's a real problem for non-white America.

Exactly what I was thinking. He makes himself out to be some big time gangsta, but he doesn't even have a steady connect. Furthermore, he can't spot an undercover. I mean shiat, DMX, maybe be a little more low key. Go to a shiatty part of town and look for a busy liquor store and ask the first thug/stoner you see walk out of there. Try and meet someone at a head shop. Tell the guy selling it you're DMX and he may even hook you up a little fatter. Use your head, dog!

If you think that you have to be doing anything wrong to be targeted by the police (as a brown person), then you're mistaken. "Cody", gets caught with a joint, he gets taken home and maybe issued a citation. "Tyrone", gets caught with a joint and he's hauled downtown (and likely roughed up). People claim to be targeted because they are.

You can but in most cases you have to pick it out of a cell phone with a paper clip.

Not that I would know or anything.

What the fark is anyone doing buying 30 bucks of blow and 15 of smoke? Unless he was needed something just to get him home, I don't see how or why he would be buying that small of an amount of either.

My point is: Unfairly targeted? Then why carry the joint?

I'm sure blacks are unfairly targeted. All I said was that blacks say that they're targeted, but still carry drugs around (like idiots). A bootyful sight, I'm happy I'm white, walking in a winter wonderland!
