I can't say I like the piece. I'm sure someone must like it somewhere, but it's just my kind of thing.

Before anyone asks, DIT is the morse code symbol for 'E', in this thread it has another meaning, its more fun to figure it out for yourself, so I request that anyone who has figured it out draw this out as long as possible.

Fuzzyshrimp 2008-06-28 09:35:28 AM
I looked at the picture in the article. yes, IRTFA. Looks like a first grader drew it. BFD.

Agree. This is the dumbest 'art' I've ever seen.

Anyone who quilts knows how to add texture with thread. Much more elaborately and with more sophistication...

Where's the D?

therhinodep 2008-06-28 10:07:09 AM
1st, kudos to submitter on the well placed pun. As to the article itself, FAIL to the Sun Journal for providing a graphic so small and blurry, even when enlarged, that the artwork could have been drawn in crayon, for all I could tell.

Somehow, this being Fark, I assumed that rather than the pun it is, I expected it to be an artist who paints with spunk.

Not sure why. It would be ghastly.

Took me awhile to get it, but pretty clever headline there chiefer.

Really? That's what passes as art these days? Isn't playing with thread something you do in 4th grade art class?

The thread article has no thread? That's not right.

You have a sick, sick mind. To misquote Shakespeare:

"The fault, dear Bennett, is not in our Fark,
But in ourselves."

you, me, most of the others, probably thought the same thing. Someone somewhere is doing it, it's only a matter of time till it finds its way here.

/headline would be funnier if DIT was actually used in headlines enough to make the acronym as recognizable as TTIUWP or RTFA
