(Telegraph) Unlikely Sting on future tours: "Can you imagine zeppelins going around the world with tours underneath them, with a stage, the band, all the equipment and lights, and just lowering themselves into a car park somewhere? And then off they float"   (telegraph.co.uk) divider line 31

Make that a giant helicopter and you've got Dethklok.

Little sh*tty DIY outfits cobbling together balloons in their backyards and myspace bulletin after myspace bulletin of announcements of bands disbanding after half of them plummeted to the ground in a fiery inferno. Kirk Hammett angrily lamenting how he flew his personal helicopter five miles and never once flew through an ice storm.

Saw them in Houston just a little while back, 12th row. It was mesmerizing! Definitely one of the top 5 concerts of my life. :D

Too bad zeppelins have really terrible lifting power.

At one point, Pink Floyd was planning concerts for "The Wall" tour to be held in a giant inflatable slug.

If they improved the railway system, train might be a better idea. Equipment could be loaded and unloaded easily, the platforms would be a cinch to set up, everybody wins.

Hot air for lift will be provided by Sting himself.

This is actually a pretty good idea, considering all of the new research and development that is going on in the world of airships lately. Sting might be a bit of a douche, but he isn't a dumbass.
