I generally like the Kronos Quartet and the modern classical music they perform. But I don't see the appeal of performing or listening to awful pop songs.

"Awful" is in the ear of the beholder, likefunbutnot. The bulk of today's modern classical music is not exactly tuneful, either, you know.

That being said, I love these guys...their best take on a pop tune is their cover of Television's "Marquee Moon." Awesome.

Saw them do this years ago too, also as an encore. One great thing about Kronos Quartet, is they don't forget to be entertaining.

Saw them when they were last at BAM. Damn they can put on a show.
