(Starpulse) Interesting Born-again Christian who left Korn to pursue his faith now realizes that there are bills to pay, returns with a solo album titled "Save Me From Myself" which we thought Jesus took care of, but oh well   (starpulse.com) divider line 40

ftfa: "I literally poured everything I had into Save Me From Myself, and I know it's gonna inspire a lot of people."

Not if you literally poured everything into it. Yuk.

No kidding, that answered a lot of stuff I had been wondering. Well not actively wondering.

Wow. I hadn't thought about Korn in a really long time. Then, last night's South Park was the deliciously goofy Kron/Scooby/Ghost Pirate" episode... and now this news comes along.

Is it possible that a Korn-related trifecta is in play?

have you ever noticed that the music one puts out after becoming 'born again' sucks the sweat off of a dead donkey's balls?
So if you started out in a band that sounds like it sucks sweat off of dead donkey balls, will your album suck so monumentally that it would cause the earth to collapse on itself?

/Slayer FTW

Gonna get this in before the flame war really takes off:

Making fun of born-again Christians is like hunting dairy cows with a high powered rifle and scope.

Korn blows so this is gonna blow more.

An old Hypno magazine from 1994 told me Korn were the next big thing. And sure enough, they made it fairly big.

But it turned out they suck.

Same magazine featured Sensefield's Killed For Less.
Now THAT is what hard rock should be, passionate and moving.

You see it is possible to be a Republican pundit and still be witty and charming and not a complete asshat. Despite myself I like PJ O'Rourke.

From that article: No. Welch's journey started six years before his baptism, the night he punched his wife in the face.

Wow. If you don't find God before the night you tell your wife once or twice, you're just a douche.

/Happily atheist.

I think you channeled Dennis Miller there a little bit. Good one.

I'm annoyed that they only mention him with A Perfect Circle and not with The Vandals.

Yeah in no way could the title be what he was thinking when he left the band. Absolutely positively not a chance. Ooops the sarcasm meter just scooted itself off the table again.

Attention Christian "Musicians":
You're not making Christianity any better.. you're only making music worse..

Former recording "artist" + quit doing drugs + born again Christian = Epic Fail

/Was a roadie for Korn for a few months so I'm really getting a kick out these replies.

WienerButt 2008-06-25 07:37:31 PM
Good for him. As notorious as Fark is for making fun of teh christians, this guy turned his life completely around and more importantly he took 100% responsibility of his kid. As humorous as many of you may find it, that is more admirable than say someone like Britney.

Kali-Yuga 2008-06-25 07:39:24 PM
WienerButt: As humorous as many of you may find it, that is more admirable than say someone like Britney.

I'm sure his new album will be about as musically relevant as a Britney Spears album too.

Didn't that useless douchebag that Britney had kids with put out an album? (I'm actually happy that I can't remember his name right now) If that didn't cause the earth to collapse on itself, nothing will.

Any of you 'tards who like KoЯn but are dissing on Head really should read the book first before you mouth off; hell, you might even learn something, like the "tolerance" you claim that the Christians don't have, yet hypocritically do not display yourselves. Tolerance means tolerance of everything, not just cherry picking, and throwing out what you don't like.

/Loves me some "open minded" Farkers.
//the book was a great read and an awesome biography of the whole band.

LarrytheBlueOkie 2008-06-26 12:15:24 AM
Defending Head: He did make some wise real estate decisions in the 1990s, thereby not having to worry so much about bills.

Not defending Head: Stick to preaching and Jesus. A solo album is not what you need to do.

Why can't you make music if you're a Christian? I mean really, the majority of Christian music sux due to its derivative nature and here's a guy that can contribute to the other side of things.

I say go for it.

I just read the second article. Now I can't wait for that album. I don't care who it pisses off, it sounds like pure passion.
