I saw them once. At a festival, they were in between the Disturbed, and the headliner Velvet Revolver.

VR? Great live band. Plenty of energy, and watching Slash play is awesome.
Disturbed? Farking INCREDIBLE. Draimin has so much energy.

Staind? Flat. No emotion. Bland. I could have napped through it and not missed anything interesting.

If a coma had a soundtrack, it would sound like Staind.

If I were Staind, I'd want to open for Proteen Gets Out Proteen or Steamin' Mad @ Dirt.

That would be edgy and spingtime frizesh at the same time.

You wanna know what the problem with nu-metal is, both lyrically and musically? Take the song "Angry Chair" by Alice in Chains, and then take out the chorus. Nu-metal leaves out the "I don't mind", and that's what made the whole thing work in the first place.

I kinda liked Staind's first album. Then they hit on that "It's Been a While" formula and never came back.

Staind were good when they played angry music, god damn Fred Durst. Met the band way back in 2001, pretty cool guys.
