He had an easy primary election. Nothing wrong with a bit of sparring.

I'm wondering how many more of these funny money scenarios we're going to uncover as we move closer to the convention....

I know, seriously!

Who cares if a candidate takes out a semi-legal $6mil loan and then lies about its existence in his attempt to subvert the campaign finance system which would hamstring his campaign up until election time?

Let's get back to racist pastors, flag pins, muslim sound names, and BLACK PEOPLE TRYING TO BE PRESIDENT OMG GET THE SHOTGUN!

I hate random threads bashing people just as much as the next person...but I'm sorry illegal campaign activities upsets you.

Yeah, it's a shame that someone get called out on actual real problems with their campaign.

Maybe OBama will get railed on tomorrow for not making a bigger issue about the vote in another section of Congress like last week!

Wasn't that the huge 'controversy' where he didn't show up to vote against water boarding, even though it was guaranteed that it was getting voted down?

you joke about that, but my mother (a kindergarten teacher) was told they had to change classrooms, because the wing she was on was a terrorist's dream.

i don't even know what that means, but i almost dropped my soda when i heard it.

Obama lied about seeking public funding in the general election, and McCain didn't lie on this matter.

In order to combat Obama's attempt to buy this election, McCain is going to decline the shackles of this system.

BTW, the so-called scary ad man on the right (Floyd Brown) doesn't actually have any money to run his ad. OOOOOOOOH SOOOOOOO SCAAAARY

Obama lied and now he wants to make up excuses for why he showed a lack of integrity and a surplus of arrogance.

Good point. McCain's amateurish actions give submitters more fodder than Obama's. Even if FARK were a perfectly evenly balanced forum, JMcC's ineptitude would guarantee more greentime.

You make absolutely no sense and you are completely ignoring McCain breaking the campaign finances with his loan from last year, not to mention how he's changed his mind on using campaign financing a few times.

But I'm still glad you showed up.

McCain is not really generating good press for himself, these days. He's hardly generating any press at all, truth be told. It's the politics tab, so the subject is relevent.

Even the RNC has realized that they're stuck with a dud. Want a demonstration? Go to www.gop.com and count the number of pics/mentions of Obama vs. whashisname. Does that look like a website for an organization with faith in their candidate?

John McCain should be congratulated for violating the unconstitutional McCain-Feingold law. He should publicly declare that he is opposed to immoral state regulations on free speech. This is an excellent strategy to endear him with conservative voters.

True. I don't know what 'trading on contradictions' means, but apparently it entails boldly staring into the future while literally standing on a world stage.

But he's happy and supports State (Federal) sanction "free-speech" zones as did his buddy Bush which violated the obviously unconstitutional First Amendment of the Constitution?

Try harder please? 4.00004/10

Okay...so by your rationale, lying about something is much worse than actually violating the law - a law that McCain has his name on.

So we can expect your support - and danlpoon's (new window) - for Bush's impeachment based on the lies he has told. For example - saying the Valerie Plame leaker will be held accountable, then promptly commuting Libby's sentence before it even began.

I'm sure you'd support that - you're a "Democrat," after all... :snort:

Yes - how unpresidential he looks..... You have to wonder who does the RNC graphics and who they are planning to vote for?

I begin to think that shame has finally done the Republicans in. Even they realize, on some level, that they were hoodwinked into supporting the biggest spenders in history with a penchant for removing civil liberties.

The problem, for the Bush Republicans, was that they couldn't keep the imaginary money boom going till the end of the term. Once all the fairy gold disappeared it was all over. It got away from them, got too big to control and crashed hard. Now the ugly truth is unavoidable.

robbiedo 2008-06-22 09:58:49 PM
