Apparently the upswings are really kinda awesome, and even though the downswings are horrible, people don't want to give up the ups. Meds attempt to level things out and mitigate both the downs and the ups.

...I didn't know she was only 24. Never looked it up. That is one hard 24. I had guessed a very bad 30ish for whatever reason, without thinking about it. God damn, she looks awful.

I've been given to understand much the same thing, and maybe I phrased the question poorly in a half-assed attempt to be succinct. To my way of thinking, "unmedicated" implies that she hasn't even been prescribed anything -- that is to say, no apparent effort to control it.

I should add that I don't know anything about Amy Winehouse except random things I happen to see on the news, which consist wholly of sensationalized and probably largely uninformed reports of how farked-up she is. So yeah, I realize that right now I'm just some asshole making equally uninformed comments, but if someone wants to explain what's going on with her better, I would end up less uninformed.

I'm a better person for not getting wrapped in the life of some drugged out, crazy biatch who can happen to sing well.

I pulled up some of her music videos just to see what all the fuss was about. Her voice isn't anything special (reminds me of Macy Grey), she's not that attractive... I think it's safe to say if she weren't coked-up and constantly on a death watch, nobody would give a fark about her.

I just came in here to say i know nothing about Amy Winehouse and frankly I'm completely apathetic towards her. That's why I spent some of my fininte amount of time on this planet to click on a fark thread about a story on Amy Winehouse and posted a comment on her ... because I don't care about it at all.

I'm a whole lot better than the rest of you posting about Amy Winehouse, because when I post about Amy Winehouse it's only to let you all know that I'm above posting about Amy Winehouse.

Have you heard her albums? I know not everyone has the same tastes, but I don't see what is so humorous. If I said, in all seriousness, Chad Kroeger was a genius, then, yes, I could see something funny about that, but I only say that when joking and drunk.
