If he gets that right, then Christians can sue Atheists for not displaying a cross.

What does he send them now that he's an immortal vampire seeking descendants of his one true love in order to use their blood to restore her youth?

/Probably very obscure

Or not.

By asshole, do you mean Byron or Tom Holland? Becuase if you mean Byron and the reference still makes sense it does start to lend some credibility to the vampire theory, in my mind. Was this a popular belief at the time or something?

Ah. But you're forgetting about the precedent set by Rotsky.

My kinesiology textbook had a sketch of Lord Byron in the section for the sternocleidomastoid muscle. Apparently he had a really sexy SCL.

Probably the strangest textbook I've ever had to buy.

Epitaph for Lord Castlereagh

Posterity will ne'er survey
A nobler scene than this.
Here lie the bones of Castlereagh.
Stop traveller, and piss.

He also died a death that made Elvis's look positively dignified.

byron wrote about vampires every once in a while (the giaour for instance). that's what I thought you were talking about for some reason - vampires and whatnot. now that I've refreshed my memory of the play (thanks wiki), it really doesn't make any sense. don't mind me.

/yeah, I skimmed the poems. So what?
//I read Don Juan at least
///....that's why I skimmed the rest

Epitaph to a dog

Lord Byron

NEAR this spot

Are deposited the Remains

of one

Who possessed Beauty

Without Vanity,

Strength without Insolence,

Courage without Ferocity,

And all the Virtues of Man

Without his Vices.

This Praise, which would be unmeaning flattery

If inscribed over Human Ashes,

Is but a just tribute to the Memory of

"Boatswain," a Dog

Who was born at Newfoundland,

May, 1803,

And died at Newstead Abbey

Nov. 18, 1808.

He died under care of a doctor who bled him to "cure" a fever; A fever contracted while fighting the Ottoman turks for Greek independence... how is that less dignified than Elvis' death?

Falcc: unclejimbo827:

This is what I was refering to. You may be interested in it even if you're sick of Byron. Tom Holland's a pretty talented author and his retelling is pretty intriguing. (new window)

Ugh, you linked to a "vampire sensualist" novel ("novel" lol). Why not just link to a Laurel K. Hamilton pulp and fap to furries/vampire pron while you're at it?

Ah yes, Lord Byron. He was peripherally involved with the invention of the first computer, if I understand correctly. He also was responsible for inspiring one of the best descriptions of a man I've ever heard... "mad, bad, and dangerous to know."

You guys ever see that episode of Billy and Mandy where Lord Byron was living inside the stupid kid as a ghost? That was a serious mindfreak!

Atharaenea 2008-06-22 03:09:29 AM
Lady Caroline Lamb, who was so obsessed with Byron that after he ended their relationship she cut off her locks to make herself look like a Cambridge choirboy he had recently seduced.

Wait, what?

It's high time somebody cloned that dog. Then ladies could have the whole thing instead of just a cutting.
