Way too farking late. I lost all interest in Axl years ago.

Aw, crap, I got to find me some G'nR bootlegs (don't worry, Axl et al., I promise to buy at least one copy if you ever release the damned thing).

I'm sure I'll be a little sad though, to not hear Slash's Les Paul wailing away.

Through sources unmentioned on here, I've had a "copy" of the "album" for over a year and a half.

It sucks worse than a $2 hooker working down at the docks on payday at the end of her shift when all her clients had "BOGO" coupons....

whidbey [TotalFark] 2008-06-18 10:01:30 PM
I really can't be asked about Axl's insecure self-conscious attempts to whore his busted hasbeen act. Give me a break.

Infamous Dr. X [TotalFark] 2008-06-18 11:26:13 PM
"There was a time" make the rest of the (mediocre at best) album mostly worth it. Great production, good layered, textured sound, good solos (even though it's not slash). Has a lot of depth. It's 6+ minutes and has every bit of the pomposity and self-aggrandizing over-the-topness of November Rain. Only downside is the chorus; the riff seems a little twisted/tortured, kinda like they left the a piece of it out.

Basically, it's everything that was good about the Use Your Illusions. Kinda made the download worth it.

As much as I was secretly hoping that Axl would surprise everyone and pull off something amazing, these tracks just sound completely ridiculous.

Oh well.

jiaxiaobo 2008-06-19 12:11:42 AM
Um, am I assuming people don't think this is another "innovative, hip" marketing scheme to create hype for the album? Hasn't GnR been doing stuff like this for the past 2 years now? I mean, read the comments... "This sh*t is sick!!!!!! F*cking love it!" Who writes stuff like that? Teh ghey. Am I wrong or is this completely made up?

I thought it had been out. I had a copy of it 20 weeks ago. I didn't like it. Then again, when I did like GNR I was 12.

Ace Frehley's Ghost 2008-06-19 12:35:12 AM
I've heard some of the earlier bootlegs here and there... I just can't see where this could possibly be awesome enough to justify the time, money, and hype that has been invested. It probably would have been a decent enough album 10 years ago, but now? Meh.

/if it gets released at all

I was mildly interested with Buckethead as Lead guitarist. Now that Axl can't even keep an A-list musician with him, I'm not even interested in listening.

It was good to see "GnR" Live once, at least, though. And I probably wouldn't have ever seen Buckethead live without that (literally) abortion of a concert.

/When is "...And Justice for All Two" coming out?

If you aren't joking and don't know who wrote the song/ and why then you should have your music collection revoked.

Just once I would like to see a GnR thread in which nobody makes that stupid joke. Or is it meant to be some sort of "I'm getting a kick..." thing? Even if it is, it's hasn't been particularity funny or clever for about five years now.

JerkyMeat 2008-06-19 03:28:28 AM
Axl sucks dick for a living. The only good LP was Appetite.

sirgarr02 2008-06-19 04:44:50 AM
Well it seems a bunch of haters are posting in this thread.

For what it is worth, I liked it. Just not a big fan of what's behind the music.

MetalGator 2008-06-19 05:13:30 AM
It sounds like a solid album that should have taken 3-4 years max. Considering all the attention it has received, it will flop miserably, and hopefully that will convince him to reunite the Appetite lineup

I've had it for about a year from my unmentionable source. While in my opinion it doesn't suck, the thing is just too overproduced. Too many November Rains and not enough Welcome to the Jungles. It is a good CD but with al lthe time, money, and expectations it is bound to disapoint. It's good but not millions of dollars and 10 years in the works good.

It's a good album and even worth getting, but it does not live up to the hype. You won't be disapointed because it is bad music, you will be disapointed because it wont live up to the expectations. Personally I don't think any band could live up to the expectations this album has.

"The Blues" is still my favorite track, though I will always prefer the early, faster version.
