Published reports also site unnamed sources saying that Robinson urinated in front of officers at the scene of the crash and was cited for public urination.

Wonder if he said "'Scuze me while I whip this out"

"I'm mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take it ... oh, scuse me I goota take a piss. Do you mind?"

He's lucky he was only charged with public urination. I'm sure the cops was waiting to be spattered so they could charge him with assault as well. And hopefully, it won't lead to him being put on a sex offender's registry.

I heard the station has changed its motto to "On our roof".

I think every city has a news channel that's "On their side!"

I hate those news channels. They always have the dramatic music when they're investigating something huge like - well, I can't think of anything because they don't do shiat.

He could always work as an undercover reporter now that he has experience at news leaks.

Well, since they've published the location of their sources it shouldn't matter what their names are.

Highly-trained professionals, my arse.

well, to be fair, I think the baseline BAC down here is about 0.1

0.13? That's what we call "breakfast".

'Cause that's how he rolls.

Yep. I lived in the area for a couple of years. When I left Metairie and Kenner (subuurbs of new Orleans) still had drive-through daquiri shops. Drinking and driving in those parts of town was not illegal, as in no "open container" law. That's right, you could legally drive around drinking beer, hurricanes, whatever, so long as you didn't exceed the BAC limit. Don't know if that's still true.

They're still in operation, but the stipulation of the open container on the daquiri is that the lid has to be intact (no straw in it). It's too bad that lid is so hard to lift on and replace without anybody knowing...

On a side note, I hate Norman Robinson with the white hot fury of a thousand suns. Serves that smug bastard right. Now, if you'll excuse me, Dawn Brown is almost on Channel 4, and I've got something to attend to...

it's New Orleans
so this is required behaviour

Die Hipster Die 2008-06-15 02:33:45 PM
Meanwhile, suburban northshore mayors go free after crashing through various items on the causeway, stealing from a toys for tots sorta charity, or otherwise flaunting their nerve and further embarrassing the people of the greater New Orleans area. The mayor of the city proper has already been fileted well enough on Fark, so we won't even start.

Meanwhile, the good people of New Orleans continue to be a laughing stock, regardless of their successes.

/Boobies on Fark
//a very proud New Orleanian
///future posts will include humor
////I'm digging this whole 'slashy' thing.

nola fark party?

Nola fark party? They used to have those at Coulette's, on Gravier St. (heh)

But seriously, wtf not. These are my first fark posts (why did that show up as "boobies on fark?" - but I'm a longtime lurker. The sense of humor on this site fits perfectly in this post-apocalyptic nightmare of a woman you just can't break from (nola).

BTW - this is the year when "Awesom-O"s prediction will come true.

/At least we're not Detroit

Driving While Intoxicated

I believe that some states have separate DUI/DWI charges, DWI being the more serious. Also DUI could apply to drugs, as well.

DWI=Driving While Impaired

Yeah, when is a nola fark party gonna happen? I nominate Parlay's in Lakeview.

Also, never would've expected ol' Norm to pull this.
