Looking forward to seeing Disturbed in August.

The new album is really good, but Believe is still their best by far.

I just got home from a party where they played about an hour of Thin Lizzy so I'm really...ah, hell I need to go to bed.

Would've been cooler if he actually dedicated a Phil Lynott compostition that they covered. Don't get me wrong, "Rosalie" is a rocking number and Thin Lizzy did a kick arse version of it, but wasn't it written by Bob Seegar?

Every band on the planet covers "Cowboy Song" but the Supersuckers version is nearly as good as Thin Lizzy's.

i saw them back in 2004, they are an INCREDIBLE live act. you will not be disappointed.

After a once-over of Indestructible, Its good, but I think I'm liking 10,000 Fists more.

They gave Judas Priest a 3 out of 5 rating? I wasn't at the show but the many many times I have seen them throughout the years and even now, I have never seen them put on less than a 5 star show.

I remember Ozzfest a few years ago after the Slayer set where all the Slayer fans felt sorry for judas Priest because they had to follow Slayer. At the end of the night, the same Slayer fans were totally amazed by Judas Priest and stated "Judas priest stole the show".

I just don't see how they could be tied receiving the lowest rating along with Disturbed by this article's author, even on a "bad night" for Judas Priest.

Of course I am biased, they are my favorite band.

Glad to see the Lizzy love herein...

IMHO, a very underrated band. The songwriting was far better than a lot of the other 70's "arena bands" they get lumped in with.

I was lucky enough to see them in 1979. Day On The Green #2: Journey, J. Geils Band, UFO, Thin Lizzy, Nazareth, The Rockets (July 4, 1979 - even though wiki says Black Sabbath also I definitely do not remember them on that bill). Yes I am that old -- but I was just 15 then. They rocked, and even though I was a budding punk rocker at the time I still dug it.

Thin Lizzy and UFO, two of the most overlooked bands in rock.

Thin Lizzy is one of the most underrated bands in rock history.

Lizzy's twin guitar attack laid the groundwork for the NWOHM bands like Maiden, Priest, Def Leppard, and Saxon.

They inspired countless bands either directly or indirectly.

Viva Thin Lizzy.

I can't put my finger on what it is about disturbed that I don't like. Perhaps that it's Jock Rock masquerading as something that belongs in the grunge/industrial scene of the mid-90s. I bet none of them have almost died of a heroin overdose, and really that's what the spirit of the 90s was all about.

Maybe because I went through my "angsty-teenager" phase late 90s/early 00's I'm biased, but this shiat seems so vapid compared to what existed back then; not that there is much substance in the suburban angst to begin with. Nirvana did a good job of pointing that out.

All the young dudes remember Mott the Hoople.

Yep, Thin Lizzy is the farking shiat.

Even that asshat Henry Rollins understands.

The only way to make Thin Lizzy any cooler than they already are is to introduce Lemmy into it.

Another fine example of proof as to why Lemmy is GOD.

LIZZY

Also, I saw UFO open for Ozzy on his Diary tour. They were so coked up that they were running around the stage between songs like they were while they were playing.

Oh man oh man oh man i can't wait to go see Disturbed this summer. Everyone I know that's seen them said they're amazing live. Best I've seen live was Korn, will have to see if Disturbed can top them, if not Slipknot probably will.

Last time I saw them they did Cowboy Song, broke into Funk 49 in the middle, back to Cowboy Song then at the end rolled into Born with a Tail. That is one of my favorite live show moments ever.

I like Disturbed in a guilty pleasure sort of way. I know I should hate them, but they come up with some really slick grooving riffs and I like the way Draiman sings when he's not doing that howler monkey shiat.

Hell Yeah for the Thin Lizzy love. I always liked Dancing in the Moonlight.

Zem: Sweeeeet.

It kinda was. Journey sucked ass but I liked watching Schon play. Lizzy and UFO were extremely great, Nazareth and The Rockets not so much, but the band that blew me away that day was The J. Geils Band. Somehow they shrunk a football stadium down to the size of a sweaty little club. They kinda stole the show as I remember. I went to that show primarily to see Thin Lizzy but left a J. Geils fan.

Plus I was 15 and in California for the first time... during the era of tube tops... and my first california girls... now we're talking "sweeeet".

I also love Thin Lizzy but if you're going to talk about twin guitar attack you have to mention Wishbone Ash in there as well. And these guys are still out there recording and touring!

I have the Mott The Hoople (Escher cover!) and Mott CDs in my car right now.
