No, subby...this is spiffy. 90% of everything Lionel Richie did solo is a steaming pile of processed crap. The Commodores kicked ass.

Appropriately, this was submitted on a Sunday morning. Easy....like Sunday morning.

What the Flatulent guy said. Lionel Richie solo is vomitous, but with the Commodores...holy shiat. It's hard to believe it's the same guy who brought us such nausea-inducing sleep aids as "Hello" and "Dancin' on the Ceiling."

Thanks.

For soul/funk/R&B from the 70s, there's James Brown, then Parliament/Funkadelic, then there's everybody else. But after them, there were a bunch of kick-ass groups, like the Commodores, O'Jays, Manhattans, EW&F, Kool & The Gang, and so on.

If they can give us another Assembly Line then it would all be worth it.

Commodores are the first live band I ever remember seeing and hearing on late-night TV. Midnight Special. It was cold outside. I was a young boy. Awesome memory.
