Saying "you farked us" twice is "an obscenity-laced tirade?" Go back to your cheesecake and your PTA meetings, subby.

This is another reason why the Democrats have already lost the election; they couldn't even unify early on when they election was theirs, and they actually worked to toss it away, yet the party won't have a 1972 style meltdown, but they have 3 1/2 years to repair the damage done, and come to their senses and put up Edwards in 2012, but 2008 is one of those types of defeats a party has to work for, but, perhaps, 4 years of McCain will knock some sense into the party.

She is, perhaps, at the root of all this. It's not her fault though. Many of the people wanted her, and won't settle for the way she was treated by primary voters.

I don't normally feed trolls but you just said some voters were upset by the way other voters voted. Riiight. I guess you must be tired.

I wonder what the over/under is for how long it will take for fark trolls to stop submitting articles encouraging Clinton supporters to vote McCain.

Because if it's much longer, I'm going to just be done with it and spend more time reading hillaryis44.org.

If the emails are real then the author's head should be metaphorically put on a pike (i.e. fired) for this. You can steam all you want in private but acting all 3y/o because things didn't go your way isn't classy.

The Bionic Clinton machine has mucho fury. They know the only way she becomes President in 2012 is if McCain wins.

Suicidal Writer: This is another reason why the Democrats have already lost the election

Yeah, about that... Why don't you take a look at some projections and polls?

National polls (pops), all taken since the June 1st:
Rasmussen: 49/44, Obama
Gallup: 48/41, Obama
NBC/WSJ: 47/41, Obama
Diageo/Hotline: 44/42, Obama
IBD/TIPP: 43/40, Obama
CNN: 49/46, Obama
CBS: 48/42, Obama
USA Today: 49/44, Obama

Obama is ahead in recent polls, 8-0 against McCain. But national polls don't really matter. How about electoral college breakdowns (pops):

ElectionProjection: 304/234, Obama
Electoral-Vote: 304/221, Obama
OpenLeft: 252/218, Obama
538: 279/259, Obama
Rasmussen: 185/174, Obama
NBC: 200/200, Tie
CNN: 194/190, McCain
Frontloading: 281/257, McCain
NPR: 227/200, McCain

Obama is ahead in projections 5-3.

In summary, suck it. Obama is already winning this race, and McCain has been running largely unopposed until recently. Now, with Obama able to shift his focus to McCain, his numbers are just going to rise.

/President Obama.

ryebread: Yeah, about that... Why don't you take a look at some projections and polls?

The Bradley Effect renders polls essentially meaningless (might as well expand the MOE to around 10%-14%). It's not unusual for a Democrat to be up in polls this far ahead anyway. Dukakis was up 18% on Bush a couple of months before the election. Kerry was up on Bush too about this time in 2004 in a number of polls. Zogby even called it for him the night before the election.

June 12, 2004
EV's: Bush 222, Kerry 316
Pct: Bush 46.5%, Kerry 51.6%

Election Projection (new window)

May 28, 2004.

So if I understand this:

Hillary supporters are upset that she didn't get the nod so they are going to either write her name in or vote McCain. And from the arguments I am seeing, this is all Obama's fault.

Is this seriously the argument? Obama is a bad man because he got more votes than Hillary? Obama is not worthy of being president because he got more votes than she did (not including places that she first said shouldn't count, but then said should count because she was far behind)?

I think that unless you can bring a more dignified explanation of why Obama is unworthy, then your argument has very little weight to it.

/How dare you other people who are not me have an opinion and voice through a vote that is your legal right!
//How DARE you!

Yeah the Hillary bias at Fark is so infuriating isn't it? Shame on them! Gee whiz it would be nice to see a positive Obama piece once in awhile. Is that too much to ask ? I bet all those fark admins have Hillary bumper stickes on thier vehicles too! The Poor obama folk should never have to read another word on Hillary for the rest of this election season don't they realize that? FARK should have a Obama tag and if any article gets onto the polotics page without one it would be ignored.

I dont think anyone other than the nutjobs at Hillaryis44 are saying its Obamas fault. But it is a natural result of a hard fought close primary. The ones backing the loser are going to be sore.

This is particularly bitter in ths case because many of Hillarys strongest backers were interested in a shot at feminist history more that general concern for party welfare.

In contrast had Hillary wheeled and dealt her way to the nom she wouldve alienated the black vote and the young new voters Obama had attracted. someones feelings were going to get hurt.

Who started it is a childs argument. And like most childrens arguments it is irrelevant. It is Obamas mess to fix no matter who caused it.

For the love of all that is holy...Obama supporters don't get upset at negative coverage; we get upset when the fact that a campaign spokesman said, "You farked us" gets turned into "OBSCENITY-LADEN MESSAGES!!!"; we get upset when the fact that he-knew-a-guy gets turned into "CLOSE ASSOCIATIONS WITH UNREPENTING TERRORISTS!!!"; we get upset when the fact that he says that maybe we should, you know, talk to people before blowing their countries up turns into "OBAMBI APPEASES DICTATORS!!!"

In short, we get upset when people have to make shiat up to smear him. You have actual evidence of the fact that he's a crappy person and would make a shiatty president? Then I truly, honestly, want to see it. But as for your flag lapel pins...you can shove them right up between you too-tightly-clenched ass cheeks.

You know, in a sick way as an Obama supporter this general election will be a win-win situation for me.

A lot of these up-in-arms Clinton supporters are middle-aged and older women. I'm willing to bet a lot of them participated in the women's lib movement in the sixties and seventies. If this intra-party bickering continues, Clinton hold-outs will be seen as the reason McCain will win the general; in all likelihood they will be should that worst-case scenario happens.

So I get to point and laugh when Stevens and either Ginsburg, Breyer, or Souter retire or knock off, McCain replaces them with right-wingers, and Roe v. Wade gets overturned.

burndtdan 2008-06-14 02:06:20 PM
oh, and...

img166.imageshack.us

there's no such thing as bad language. i don't believe that anymore, it's ridiculous. they call it a debasing of the language, no. we are adults. these are the words that we use to express frustration, rage, anger. in order that we don't pick up a tire iron and beat the shiat out of someone.

what do people say? what... what is the good language you're supposed to use that's supposed to help you overcome certain things? what do people say who don't use those words? somebody who after forty years loses their job. is fired, lets say. or let go, and they lose their pension, and their welfare, and their benefits. they lose everything. do they sit on the couch all day going "oh, pussy-feathers. sassafras, sassafras, sassafras!"

i know you don't use bad language in front of these people. i understand that. ok? because these people are the movers and the shakers. these are the people who are our first line of defense when it comes to the terrorist threat. but the word "shiat" makes them cry. "why did he say poopie? whyyyy did he say poopie?"
