Wow. This might be the shortest article ever

Colin Powell Sees McCain-Obama Race as Tough Choice
Susan Davis reports on the presidential race.

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell said it's not out of the question that he may support expected Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama in the race against John McCain.

Asked if it was a difficult choice between the two, Powell responded, "I think so. Yes," according to Canada's Globe and Mail. "Both of them certainly have the qualifications to be the president of the U.S., but both of them cannot be," Powell said at a news conference prior to a leadership forum in Vancouver.

The first African-American Secretary of State said that race would not be a factor in casting his vote on a ballot that has the first African American nominee. "I will vote for the individual I think that brings the best set of tools to the problems of 21st-century America and the 21st-century world regardless of party, regardless of anything else other than the most qualified candidate," he said, noting that military service would not necessarily play a role either. Powell, like McCain, is a veteran.

If it comes down to a PowerPoint, McCain should hire Hillary. I hear her staff made some AWESOME PowerPoint presentations.

I'm not really interested in what Colin Powell thinks about anything. He may have medals and the stars of a General, but he's just another liar as far as I'm concerned.

McCaintheUniter, The Beacon Man, etc:
ok, I'll ask- what's the point?
what is the reward you get for your posts in the Fark forums? Is it glee for agitating others? Is there some monetary payout for making others react? Is it some secret handshake among those that can use the most degrading language? Because recently your (collective) posts have increased, and I am honestly perplexed as to why. I would really appreciate it if you explained what is so fulfilling about your posts. I'm not necessarily complaining about them, I am just curious as to why you are compelled to leave them.
If you feel like responding, that would be mega rad. But if you respond with something about 'liberal hate pansy suck', that would be even more better hilarious.

You don't have 'Suicidal Writer'? That guy makes me want to stab myself in the face, even with him on ignore (way too many people quote him).

Powell basically lied to get us into war and he blew his reputation of honor as Secretary of State.

That being said, Powell will likely vote for McCain, since Powell gave McCain $2300 last summer.

Careful. I got yelled at by some 21-year-old kid for asking people not to quote known trolls. I normally skip through, but people had quoted McCain Democrat at least 12 times in around a 50-post thread. It was ridiculous, but I still got scolded.

//Dude later told me that skookum wasn't a troll and believes everything he writes. That's when I knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I was dealing with a moron.

Maybe you don't care, but when you say things like this you know you're old and so does everyone else. Just a word from one crusty bastage to another.

/off to laugh at the video of Powell as a village person, because some things transcend age

From some versions of the story, Powell tried to personally verify all the facts he presented to the UN for the case to invade Iraq. He was effectively stonewalled from any current intelligence though.
