There's some good music.
What have they done in the last 10 years though?
I can't clearly recall anything they did after 1995 even.

I guess they've never heard of Run-DMC.

wonder how the other two guys in the band were able to get out of the contract.

wait.....why do these guys even have a deal in the first place? have they done anything in the last 15 years?

And it's a really good album. And if you enjoy STP, you'd probably enjoy Talk Show. It's STP sans Scott Weiland after their first disbanding.

Good album, but No. 4 was better IMHO

Why is there a lawsuit during a summer tour that goes into late August?

I just saw STP last weekend. I give it a big Meh. All the songs they played are over 12 years old now, Scott Weiland sounded like dogshiat, 'Sour Girl' was a disaster live, Scott Weiland dancing prancing and posing around the stage just like Mick Jagger and Dean DeLeo dressed up and posing just like Jimmy Page got old in about 2 minutes.

So yeah, I like STP's stuff in the 90s but Zzzzzzz live.

MetalGator, agreed on No. 4 being better. Shangri La di da was okay, but too soft for my taste.

Yesterday, I picked up last row tickets to their show at The Palms tomorrow night. I was looking for a show to go to on my trip to Vegas and had always wanted to see them live (they are not coming to Portland and I didn't think driving to Seattle to see them would be worth it, and since I am going to be in Vegas anyway...). I will be glad to hear them playing older stuff. It's what I know.

I don't expect it to be the greatest show of all time. I have read some very good and some pretty piss poor reviews of this tour so far.

Global Citizen: Agreed on the Shangri-La-Dee-Da. It doesn't get much better than 'Too Cool Queenie' and 'Regeneration' for that band. But I can'ts finds me some Talk Show anywhere. I just want to hear the 'Hello, Hello' single again and I can't even find that :(

whoops, meant to address Sherjo311 and just found the album on YouTube. Guess I hadn't looked for it for a while and someone nicely uploaded the album.

I didn't think having them playing everything from Core and Purple would be a bad thing, but it really felt like I was watching a cover band play stuff I hear on the local rock station. It wasn't horrible, it wasn't great, it was just meh. It's the same way I felt the last time I saw Weezer a summer or two ago.

Yea from what I've read the quality of the show depends on Scott and what he has done that night backstage

I saw STP in the fall of 2002 at a small venue (Hard Rock Live Orlando), definitely in my top 5 all time concerts.

the last STP album was full of suck. especially after such classics like PURPLE and Core.

starjolt 2008-06-14 07:22:36 PM
I went to the Recent PNC Arts Center show.. They sucked. Not only did they come out 1 1/2 hrs late, which I am sure was scotts fault, they took a 45 break between each song and sounded like crap. I left after an hour. Damn Them.. I Want my 120 dollars back. (2 tixs)
