They all look the same to me.

We've gone through this before but nobody's topped the as far as I know cassette only release of STOOLZ, a sad-sack hardcore outfit with a self-created steaming fecal and fly font, whose tape somehow fell into my hands before I listened to it and said "ewwwwwwwwww!"

Come to mention it, I have had many occasions in the last month to use steaming fecal and fly font, why the heck isn't it available on Word?

I came to see if Bloodbath was mentioned.

I was not disappointed.

Leviathan, Darkthrone and bloodbath are well known, if you listen to something else than FM radio.

And by that statement by no mean am I saying that I like them... But the kids seem to appreciate

Xasthur is pretty well known too.. and pretty well respected.

Just because you soccer moms haven't heard of them, doesn't mean they are worthless, and some of these are quite famous in Europe. While the majority of black/death metal bands suck and are rather... silly, some are actually very, very good (especially Wolves in the Thrones Room). Anyway, we all know doom metal is better.

Borknager and Finntroll are both really good folk metal bands. Don't know why they were on the list, their logos are pretty legible.

I was looking for something one day on YouTube and ended up running across a Finntroll video. Being curious, I decided to watch it. Being curious is not always a good thing. I'd rather listen to a three year old, hopped up on meth, banging pots and pans together. But, seeing how I wasn't in Florida at the time, I had to settle for Finntroll.

I think i would listen to more metal if the albums covers weren't so lame. Its "who can have the most gruesome image" contest and they all lose.

I agree. I bet you couldn't even have kittens on the album cover unless they were dipped in goats blood and then thrown at each individual album cover as part of a limited edition art piece.

Borknagar is an EXCELLENT band. Finntroll is quite good as well. Bloodbath is pretty good if you're into just heavy shred.

I actually used to know Averse Sefira from the local metal scene way back in the day, and I can't believe those goobers are still around much less apparently doing well. These are the same guys who credited their "blasphemous drum machine" in the credits of their first album...

--seriously, can we even say "omg, durka durka's logo is soooo illegible!"? it's not english, therefore of course you're not gonna recognize the words.

And also, the thing of metal bands with crazy-ass logos started in the 80s with grindcore bands. MTV has just now caught on to it, and even manages to fark up the genre.
