That was pretty damn cool, minus Paul's flub. And on his own part of the song.

Heh.

Well, that was pretty remarkable. Would love to hear it with an orchestral section supporting the full arrangement.

Must've sucked sitting right behind Yoko with that damned top hat on...

Well, you're half right. Eleanor Rigby wasn't great by Beatles standards.

Boy, dude's voice is really giving out. I'm guessing that his age is catching up and "old person voice" is kicking in.

Anyone know a link to the Wes Montgomery instrumental cover? I've heard it's great, but can't find it anywhere.

I got chills, but boy his voice comes and goes, especially during
the opening parts of the song.

That, and the seg into GIVE PEACE A CHANCE kinda comes out of
nowhere.

Is Yoko an official stalker now? Maybe Paul should get a restraining order.

Awesome song, and very cool that he dusted it off for the show. I'm not a big Macca fan, but that was nice.

It's good to see Paulie out having fun and over that mattress Mucca.
Watch out, though- Yoko knows you're up for grabs again. Don't drink her tea.

Wes Montgomery - a day in the life. Don't know if it is the version you were thinking of. It is kind of orchestral and not entirely jazzy.

The Ascent of Spam
Paul is the best Beatle and fark everyone else who thinks otherwise in the ass with a kettlebell.

Since, I've never known a single person whose favorite Beatle is Paul, I assume you to be a troll. Regardless, I have to bite and give my two cents.

Paul was the most technically talented musician in the band. When George Martin wasn't playing piano, Paul was doing the heavy lifting, along with great guitar work in Taxman, Another Girl, The End, Yesterday, and more. Not to mention his legendary bass work. John even suggested, however tongue-in-cheek, that Ringo was not as good a drummer as Paul, although we all know that's not true.

The reason nobody I know likes Paul best (besides his increasingly commercial style in the 70's on) is that he has a HUGE ego and an aloofness in demeanor and lyrical intimacy that doesn't allow people to identify with him as much as they can with John and George. Since I noticed, nobody's been posting in this thread, I'll shut up now.
