To be fair, Graham has turned out to be more of a maverick than McCain over the last several years. When he got elected, I expected him to be a total Bush clone, but I've got to say he's surprised me.

Where's the creepy smile and nervous chuckle, dude? Come on, you're better than that, lol.

But yeah, Senator Graham, welcome to Being in Obama Commercials for the Duration of the Campaign.

Eh, he didn't say it in a soundbiteable form. Just as a response to a question. Newspaper ads, sure, but it doesn't lend itself well to TV, unfortunately.

Lionel Mandrake [TotalFark] 2008-06-08 08:12:03 PM
Lindsay Graham would be perfectly cast as a used-car salesman whose hobbies included child molestation.

Not accusing him of anything, but he would fit the part perfectly. The guy is creepy...

Just looking at this thread made me realize just how hard McCain is going to crash and burn. He's going to get demolished in Mondale-like margins.

And that fills me with incredible glee.

redmond24 2008-06-08 09:29:31 PM
I'm still trying to understand why McCain wants to do townhall debates with Obama. Every single one of his gaffes and his "senior moments" have been when he's asked impromptu questions.

jimmyhaha [TotalFark] 2008-06-08 09:30:25 PM
McCain has "Bob Dole in '96" written all over him.

Has anyone mentioned that this is Huffington Post and therefore should be
summarily dismissed without reading the article or checking its validity?

If not, I thought I would get that out of the way.

That's why I DO like Graham. You might not agree with him, but at least he's honest.

I've been saying this to folks for a while now, and am thrilled to see it becoming more true.

I also have to agree with folks who've compared his rather creepy smile and affectations to "Reverend Kane" of the Poltergeist films.

but, but, but teh obama white house would be an extension of teh left wing socialist adgenda!!!1!!1!! obama would just raise your taxes trying to give everyone this "universal healthcare" that can't happen. he just is too nice to come out and say that when he gets into office your wallet will be hurting for the next 4 years. So...what's it going to be, unaffected lives domestically and perhaps 4 more years of war; or Obama takes our troops out of iraq and invades your wallets. neither side is a welcoming alternative, but at least for now i have money to spend my sorrows away

It's worse than that. Bob Dole at least had the full support of grassroots Republican activists who were willing to work for him. McCain? Not so much. I've talked to people who are sitting out this election, and well, whereas I worked the phone banks for Dole, I'm supporting Obama.

/Don't think it's going to be close

You left out the part about Obama forcing you to marry teh gehy and have an abortion.

I just had a terrifically paranoid thought. What if all Republicans are under the influence of a secret mind control drug invented and administered by the CIA? It explains everything, man! The disconnect from reality, the abbrogration of morality to authority, the fear of large crowds...

Narrator: John McCain has been insisting a lot lately that he's not a third term of George W. Bush's policies.

[play clip of John McCain denying it]

Barack Obama thinks otherwise.

[play clip of Obama saying it]

But don't take Senator Obama's word for it. Just ask Republican Senator Lindsay Graham, a top McCain surrogate -

[title screen]

"McCain economics are a [third Bush term]." - GOP Senator Lindsey Graham

[proof of quote]

Obama: I'm Barack Obama and I approve this message.

There ya go.

It isn't liberals fault that conservatives aren't farking funny.

95% of the humorous headlines are submitted by liberals, what do you expect?

Yet more proof that reality has a liberal bias. Unbiased = liberal.

There's a reason I mostly stay out of threads once they go green. They just get stupid.

I don't want to imply that FARK has been hijacked. But I get a feeling that if I tried to log in at Dailykos with my FARK username and password, it would actually work.

Does Graham realize that McCain being another Bush is a bad thing?

gorrck 2008-06-08 11:27:22 PM
voting for McCain would be like accepting change in the form of "Matlock" AND "Murder She Wrote" coming on before dinner instead of after dinner. Meanwhile the orderlies are still stealing from you and ass-raping you while you sleep. At least "Matlock" is on earlier though!

Can we use that tag twice in the same article?
