They have Jersey Joe on there? The guy is a farking fascist. From the wikipedia page about him -

"In 1991, Pennacchio sent a 94-page white paper called the 'Nationalist Agenda' to then-New Jersey General Assembly minority leader Chuck Haytaian. The manifesto, among other things, calls for a new 'Nationalist Party,' placing the homeless in military bases and mandatory military service for non-violent criminals."

Pfft. Yeah, great, put some kid who got busted for pot on the front lines in Iraq. That surely fits the crime.

Now De Carlo is touring with the band and his bandmates say that sometimes they can't even tell the difference between him and Delp.

Does that mean he gets drugged up and into screaming matches with his bandmates while trying to nail underage groupies? (Doesn't know if Delp was like this in any way, shape, or form.)

hokiebuckeye 2008-06-08 06:58:49 PM
Rudy Rudiger was a douchebag. That movie made him look...like a total douchebag. And while he's probably tougher than me, he's 10 inches shorter, so I don't really much care.

I have two reasons for despising Tommy DeCarlo.

Number one, he's yet another random guy who tries to pick up and keep a band (well, okay, Tom Scholz, 'cause he's the ONLY ONE LEFT!!) desperate for touring $$$ going, even though it has nothing to do with the original. (Journey, Styx, and, to a lesser extent, Skynyrd, looking at all of you.)

Number two, random guys shouldn't have it so good. Because I can probably sing him into the ground, and you don't see *me* with a contract, do you?

\okay, i might be a little jealous
\\but point one still stands - the four bands mentioned are not the four bands I grew up listening to. Never will be without all the major members back.
\\\don't even get me started on VH. Just don't.

I don't know if you are making a joke, but "it's" is correct there. "Joe's" is not.

If you don't know this Joe then it is a Joe you don't know.

"It's" = "it is"
"Its" = "its"

I've been hearing a lot about that Arnel character lately. Anyone else? They're treating him like the second coming of Christ, yet he is just another 'southerner' moving up here to take us 'northerners' jobs. No wonder the economy sucks.

Good on ya, Tommy De Carlo.

But I HATE radio Boston - every time I hear the intro to another over-played and played-out Boston song I shut that over-rated shiat off and throw in a SLAYER disk to cleanse my mind of the auditory stench.

I'm talking about the band Boston. I'd love to go to the city on a drinking tour.

On another tip, I heard the new Journey singer not too long ago, and he was actually pretty good.

/"Shoulda been gone!"
//"Dude! We agreed! No Steve Perry psyche-outs!"

alienofamerica [TotalFark] 2008-06-08 10:04:45 PM
Bullocks, I thought I had the Dave field covered!

Malachilenomade 2008-06-08 10:59:08 PM
So, let me get this straight: Getting into the bands Boston and Journey are considered making it big even though both haven't been popular with anyone who isn't sporting a mullet for over 20-25 years and 90% of the touring they do are to county fairs?

Yeah, I'll stay an average joe thanks.

If I'd snagged some more I'd have gone for then/than. It doesn't look like a popular thread, though.

I wonder if any good bands need a new singer right now?

Mad Mark 2008-06-09 01:23:36 AM
I was skimming through the article & I figured the first guy was a former Boston member that now works at Home Depot.
/it could happen
