That would have been kick ass to see live.

man the Foo's are just the luckiest SOB's on the planet. I know they did something like this with Alex and Geddy of Rush too.

That would have been cool to see. Your at the show and unexpectedly out comes Page and Jones. Nice to see they haven't forgotten JPJ's phone number.

"It was the first time Led Zeppelin had appeared onstage since their hugely successful reunion concert in front of 22,000 fans at London's O2 centre in December.

In an interview after that concert, Page said the band were ready to reunite and perform more live events.

But he said that fans could have to wait until Autumn 2009 as band members had to tie up individual projects first.
"

I need to see this whole interview.

I saw the Foo Fighters in London many years back and they brought out Brian May and Roger Taylor at the end of the show. They played "Now I'm Here" and it kicked a lot of ass. Nothing like seeing May and Grohl rocking out simultaneously.

I believe the drummer from the Chili Peppers was watching from backstage, too. It could have been the Pearl Jam drummer (didn't they switch drummers at one point?).

Thanks for mentioning that line. Cracks me up every time.

I dont think there were that many people there. I know the stadium has an even larger regular capacity, but MUSE sold out the new wembley last year and there were something like 78000 people there.

Unless they had a much smaller stage or something which is very possible.

I believe I prefer the name "Led Fighters", but I don't know why.

I must've watched H.A.A.R.P seven times by now. The stage set up for that show is RIDICULOUS. To think they sold out that arena two nights running.

Two giant satellites, three large-ass screens, smoke, lights, acrobats attached to giant balloons, and lots of Matt Belamy magic. Hell... they put a distortion pedal on a grand piano.

Anyway, Foo is a damn good band. They've really been given the mantle of "America's top rock band". Out of all the bands that are still kicking it today, they're one of the very few who people will be calling legends 30-40 years from now. Them, Muse, and maybe Green Day.

It's probably just a bad picture, but Jimmy Page looks like he wants some french fried taters.

Jack Irons was the original drummer for RHCP who left the band after original guitarist Hillel Slovak died. Irons played on one track on the PJ record Vitalogy, and played on No Code, Yield, and their collaboration album with Neil Young, Mirrorball.

/I know, I know...too much info

Zep should dump Jason Bonham and recruit Grohl to play drums instead.

London Farkere here, had the privilege of going! PA announcement said the attendance was 86,000!

It was stunning. I've seen bigger at Knebworth in 95, but nowhere near as good as this. Dave Grohl has to be one of the most talented musicians out there, he can play so many different instruments so amazingly well. Taylor Hawkins has an amazing voice too. It was proper rock and is giving me goosebumps just thinking about it. I will sell body parts to go to their next UK gigs.

I think the foos like to do this a lot. I saw them in MPLS a few years back and they brought up either Bob Mould or Grant Hart from Husker Du (I can't remember which one) during the encore.
