Lucky Subby...

Was gonna call you out on mixing your Skynyrd and Alabama references, but Alabama apparently covered the Skynyrd tune.

You squeak by on a technicality.

/I'm watching you, subby...(point to eyes, points at you...)

In Birmingham they love the governor.

Oooo! Oooo! Oooo!

I guess it's technically a Boo but I like it better as an Ooo, by the way.

Yeah, I just found out within the last year or two it actually was "Boo"... which sorta changes the whole "those dudes liked George Wallace???" thing.

Still confused about "now Watergate does not bother me".

Well as a former Birminghamster it's the only place in Bama that a sane man would live in. I love that city.

But does your conscious bother you?

Yay shoutout to south B'ham and the nuts who appreciate North B'ham.

Southside is your friend. Stop being scared of it, white people.

Texas Taco and Rube Burrows needed your fearlessness back in the day.

I like how it says their new CD is only available at Cracker Barrel.

Maybe the funniest sketch I've ever seen was a two-man group from Chicago called Superpunk as two guys in the band Alabama trying to get an audience member up to play bass. Effing hilarious.

The final accounting, the suit claims, found that "there were no net merchandise revenues as defined by the contract."

Is net revenue in music defined the same as it is for movies, so that it never actually exists?

Drummers should be satisfied with a horse blanket and a dry spot in the corner.

I imagine this is the Country Music equivalent to Straight-to-DVD.

The stupid thing is these guys have sold a bazillion albums, probably have a bazillion or 2 in the bank, and they are worried about 200k...

Birmingham is my favorite suburb of Atlanta

It's kind of obvious from the drummer's insistence on his cut of the next advance that they can't manage their money.

Yes. Ask any band with a debut album that sold millions. They're still paying off the advance, or at least never see a dime off of it. Record companies are the worst.

Notice when you buy a book, it says (c) 2008 [Author's Name]. When you buy a CD it says (2008) Warner Brothers Records. It's a total screw job to the artist.

Peaceboy: Still confused about "now Watergate does not bother me".

The song was written during the early parts of the whole Watergate affair, before everyone knew just how big it was and how high it went.

When my band used to cover it, we would always sing "poo".

But, the guys in Alabama were outsmarted by the drummer. So who's dumber?

The guys in Alabama were outsmarted by Scott Tutt.
