Ah, West Virginia.

Would that we could kick you hillbilly redneck racist farks out of the Union.

'We'll end up slaves. We'll be made slaves just like they was once slaves,' he said. Telvor, a white Democrat who supported Hillary Clinton in West Virginia's primary, said he planned to vote for Republican John McCain in November. 'At least he's an American,' he added with a disarmingly friendly smile.

I'm totally shooting for the lead 'house wigger' job. With any luck, I'll end up being stacy dash's love slave.

this will surely do a lot to help the republican party shed the image of the party for stupid rednecks.

So maybe the social conservatives are migrating back to the democrats?

That would be nice.

The main reason that WV broke off from VA was not opposition to slavery, but because they didn't want to be cannon fodder in a rich man's war.

This guy not only is a racist ass hat, but he has absolutely no idea how the government works. How the hell is a President supposed to be able to decree slavery? This guy is simply not an American.

Well, you *do* call them the White Mountains.

Of course this article ignores the real problem with Obama and common working-class Americans. They picked some quote from some drooling goober to try and make all Obama critics look bad.

It's a lot like how the East Coast media covers anything in "flyover country". And it's even worse with Britain, which has had worse recent problems with race than the US.

Obama needs to know that African-Americans and rich intellectuals do not make up a majority of Americans. He has done nothing to appeal to voters in a lot of rural areas.

Clinton leads McCain in polls in this area, while Obama loses in a landslide. Perhaps picking Obama will be seen as the error that it is when McCain wins in November.

And yes, John McCain is one of us, and Barack Obama isn't.

This was to be expected. It's his own party that will prevent him from beating McCain. The equivalent would be putting Ron Paul up as a candidate. Sure, he's the best, but he is rejected outright by enough people to ensure a loss. Obama never had a chance amongst the working-class. Gore and Kerry didn't either.

John Edwards was the closest thing to a surefire winner the Democrats could offer. Hillary Clinton was a distant second.

I was on the verge of thinking you might have a valid point, then you used the phrase "one of us," which means you're a troll or a racist idiot.

McCainDemocrat 2008-06-07 11:25:49 PM
Granted, perhaps Obama would have been helped out here if he didn't

a) lose the popular vote
b) have a radical anti-white pastor
c) allow for the rumors about him to move unrefuted.

Swiftboats are to Kerry as the e-mails against Obama are to Obama's bid.

McStinky 2008-06-07 11:26:48 PM
Lord, help them. painful to read.

And McCain will take this vote? I wouldn't. I'd tell them to stay home and do everyone a favor.

McCain has more in common with all of us, values-wise and upbringing-wise. Plus he has a good story that is admirable and he has reached out to working-class Americans.

I'm white.

Um. . . . What?

Do you just scroll the page looking for your name in bold and then not read anything people say to you? No one EVER agrees with you. It's pretty damn obvious McCain DOES NOT have much in common with "us." And so what if he has a good story? That makes for a great grandfather, the one that sits on the porch with iced tea and tells war stories, but it means squat for a president. His story has nothing to do with anything. If you vote for a guy because he's got a good anecdote. . . . well, that is why i support an I.Q. tests for voters.

On a recent trip back to my beloved home town in Appalachia, I overheard the following...

"I don't get it. How in the HELL did they infiltrate the party far enough to get a black rag-head Muslim on the ticket?"

/I wonder what would happen to a home town boy showing up with an "Obama 08" bumper sticker?
//Not going to find out.

Yeah, that's what I vote for. A farking story.

Was an honorable man up to 2000. Then sold out everything he stood for over 8 long, painful years. Now, he's exactly what he ran against in 2000.

Great story.

Really. I'm tearing up over here.

You know, the media loves reporting on states that Obama can't win that are known Republican strongholds. West Virginia isn't one of those iffy states, it will vote Republican. Who the fark cares how they vote, it won't matter. WV is 5 EV into the Republican column, and nobody plans to try to get it to switch sides, especially with inbred farks like that guy being an example of an average constituent. How about we look into the states that are borderline states, ones that could flip in this election. They really are the only important ones because of how we do elections.
