I would wager that it could be b/c there's less food in the ocean due to over-fishing, so the sharks are aiming for what food is available. It could also be due to the lack of hospitable territory for the sharks.

I say this requires more research. We need to pack the beaches full of people & see if the sharks attack. I recommend Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, & Amy Winehouse. The amount of paparazzi that follow should fill up the beach & provide any extras. We'll just shove them into the water & not let them back in until a shark starts nibbling.

And Mexican Navy vessels were brought in last week to scour the waters for sharks using the tourist beach as a feeding ground.

At least the navy knows where to find lots of good shark bait for their hunt.

BTW....Klippoklondike, that is an awesome animation! I even noticed the shark's eyes turn from black to gray, simulating the fact that some sharks roll back their eyes as they bite!!!

Bull Sharks are notoriously territorial. I watched one try to attack the prop on the engine of the boat we were in in shallow water. Eventually we had to shut the engine off and paddle to avoid killing the shark.

I'm afraid of sharks in this order: Bulls, Tigers, Whites. Bulls will F you up for no reason at all. Tigers are next, and attack just like Whites - I've seen a few of them, and shiat myself each time. I've never seen a White while I was swimming outside of a cage - they're shy - so they don't freak me out as much as Bulls or Tigers.
